Edmonton did against us what we did against Saskatoon - played a decent first period, then just gave up. That was pretty much utter domination by Calgary over the last 40 minutes.

Wilson and Ewanyk had quite the fight. Neither bothered with any style, they just jackhammered each other until they got tired.

Hitmen up 2-1 in Edmonton. Hitmen dominated the first but the Oil Kings are controlling much of the play in 2nd.

Brandon Kozun with beauty on a great passing play by the Hitmen. 3-1!

Chase Schaber with a power play goal. That is the Hitmen's 5th ppg tonight.

Hitmen have won 4 straight games now. They return home Sunday to play the Seattle Thunderbirds.

Nice to see. Edmonton's not a bad team this year, and to pile on them like this twice is a good sign.

Calgary picked up a 2-1 game over Seattle today. I thought it was an incredibly boring game...didn't seem like Calgary held the play enough to have a 33-11 shot advantage.

At any rate, I'll take the win. Calgary remains alone at the top of both the Central Division and the Eastern Conference. Temporarily the WHL as well, but Tri-City is only two points behind with two games in hand.

The Hurricanes are getting Sbisa back from the Ducks. Pure speculation here, but I would think Kisio might be calling Preston to see what the cost would be to get Sbisa. The Hitmen could use another veteran dman, and have a Euro spot open. Not to mention, the Canes have 2 Euros already.

Wow, so we're another dominant team this year? Haven't seen us play this year yet.

With the risk of getting jumped on for hating the Hitmen I would say no not another dominant team this year, but a very good team that will be one of the top teams in the league.

No dumping from here...they are a decent team, one that is still gelling. They have had a game or two where they have dominated, but mostly they have been finding ways to grind out wins. A lot of their wins have been 1 goal games.

Goofy game yesterday. Seattle never looked like a threat at any point. They only got their one goal because Jones badly overplayed a shot and vacated the net for them. It was definitely a game of trench warfare though. Not much exciting happened.

I guess all those 50+ shots-against nights finally caught up with them.
