What brand is your Aritzia polish? And with the Matte polishes, a trick to make them last longer is to use a good base coat, despite what the tag says.

It is a Whirlpool. I don't know the exact model #. I've got my manual, I'm going to do some reading.

I'm just barely old enough that when I was really young I watched some of the old cartoons on tape, like Betty Boop, etc.
Well for some reason the Little Lulu theme song has always stuck with me, and from time to time it pops into my head and it's been happening today....
"Little Lulu I love you-lu just the same, the same! Little Lulu, I love you-lu just the same..."

The manual says to remove the racks to keep them shiny and easy to slide in and out of the oven. I've clearly destroyed that part of the racks. I haven't yet found anything that discusses the chemicals and that.

You might be okay then. I know Whirlpool uses a biodegradable coating on the racks in some of their newer models. Here's a list of some of the models, see if your oven's model is in there:

Oh, I've never heard of that brand. $21 is very very steep... That gets into designer brands steep. Oh, I know what brand you're talking about. Nevermind. Still, give OPI a try.
Sorry, I'm a dufus and gave you the wrong links.

Yeah, it was at the Aritzia on Robson in Vancouver. I haven't seen them in Calgary yet. I'd never seen matte polish before so I got all excited and went for it even at the crazy price. I feel it was worth it.

At the very least, I'm going to need new racks. Maybe I'll call Whirlpool and see what they say. Thanks rube.

So what exactly happens when you use the self clean function? As a kid, I always thought little scrubbing robots came out, but as an adult, I don't believe this is the case.

On my oven the make and model is on a tag on the bottom sliding drawer.

Heats your oven up to some crazy unnatural temperature to burn off everything stuck inside.

Thanks guys.
And a little tip if you're going to use the self cleaning function, do it when you a stuffed up nose, because it reeks.

I can honestly say that I have world's worst oven. I can't even trust it to cook anything. You can set it to 220 or 300, but it's determined to cook your food at 500.

I think for the 1st girl, you called her first and wanted to chill out, so she was just apologizing for not being able to make it even if it wasn't a set-in-stone plan, I don't think that's unreasonable.
|
Perhaps I should have been clear. I said I wasn't doing anything that night. I never said I wanted to hang out. All I told her was to call me later if she wanted to do something. Then she called a full hour after she was going to call if we were going to do somehting to tell me that we weren't going to do something. Wow, thanks captain obvious. Cancelling plans I never made in the first place.

With the first gal: As soon as you said sure I would take that as "plans to meet" and she called to apologize about breaking them.
With the second: That again sounds like you are indicating you thought you had plans, and now she feels bad because she had asked you in the first place and now isn't going to make it.
In both those cases it just sounded to me like they were being considerate.
But then again, you didn't take it that way and you were there so maybe it just didn't translate into your telling of the tale.
|
Maybe I wasn't clear. In neither case did I ever have plans. I don't make plans until it is time to actually hang out.
Both times I never at any point thought we had plans. In the first case I just said I was free so call me if you want. And my friends know that means that I don't know if I want to do somehting but I'll make a game time decision IF they call me to hang out. It leaves me open and able to avoid having to cancel on people.
With the second instance the girl was the one who was trying to get me to study with her, much to my chagrin, but I was going to do it because she probably needed help studying. I was annoyed because of the way she presented "canceling" to me. She tried to act like she was canceling our plans. We had no plans. All I said to her was that if she needed help studying I'd help. Well if SHE no longer wanted help what the hell do I care if we don't study. I made it quite clear I'd rather study on my own.
I could tell from the 1st second that she wanted to study alone (actually she probably just made other plans, I can always tell when she is lying). Then she had the audacity to treat me like a child who she can just patronize and treat like a moron. If you don't want to study just say it. Don't tippytoe around the issue and pretend like you really wanted to but can't and are so sorry for breaking my heart.
Once again, I'm more annoyed at both girls making themselves seem way more important than they are in my life and treating me like an idiot just so they can feel more important.
Funny thing is I did have plans tonight with the second girl. I think she canceled on me out of revenge because she asked me to hang out on Friday and I turned her down. So she canceled on me tonight because I wouldn't hang out tomorrow. Either that or she canceled because I didn't want to help her study. It wasn't that I didn't want to help her, I just can't afford to sacrifice my mark so that she'll do well.
They are really good friends, but sometimes I hate the way girls have to make everything like a farking soap opera. When I call my guy friends and ask if they want to hang out they say yes or they say no. They don't make up some stupid ass excuses and act like ######s to try and avoid hurting my feelings. And they certainly don't act condescending by assuming I'm an idiot and can't tell they are making up excuses not to hang out.
