I still like buying CDs. I'm like collecting them.

I just met Bouwmeester's aunt! Don't know why but that made me happy. She saw my license plates and had a good laugh.

Most of the people who hate Edmonton have never been there for more than a weekend or so. I've been there plenty and I like it just fine, it's a bit grittier and less cut-throat than Calgary, but it's a lot more similar to Calgary than, say, Toronto or Vancouver.
I wouldn't read too much into what people say, anyway - there are only a few idiots who take the rivalry seriously and don't know when it stops being good-natured ribbing and starts being an excuse to act out tribal fantasies.

I LOVE making fun of Edmonton. Even though I've probably only been there for a total of 31 days in my 31 years.

Any thread with Edmonton in the title ends up being like that, but what do you expect on a Calgary based message board. Anyone who has actually been to Edmonton knows it's a decent place to live, I might even be moving there in the summer, CP just takes things to far sonetimes.

Listen Calgary, on behalf of Edmonton I'd just like to let you all know that we don't care what you say about us. Make fun of Edmonton all you want. No one with half a brain is worried about it. Have your fun, it's cool.

I'm pretty sure that all the major cities make fun of each other equally. Except for some reason, Montreal escapes the wrath.
If I hadn't been born in Calgary, how would I know that Edmonton, Vancouver, Regina, Winnipeg, and Toronto suck so bad?

I should say that I make fun of it too. I just think it isn't funny anymore. Although if I'm generalizing I think Edmontonians are probably more anti Calgary on basis than the other way around.

Cause everyone who's ever visited Montreal absolutely loved it.
Difficult place to live and make a living but a great one-off vacation place.

Wow, the retro jersey fits so awkwardly.
But it looks SO nice......#17 on the back. Can't wait to wear it on Saturday night.

When it comes to Edmonton, I don't think any other city in Canada has anything on them...... when it comes to building giant big box developments.

This is true. Edmonton built the biggest mall, then decided malls suck so now we've built gigantic complexes (with insanely designed roads) to have the pleasure of going outside during the winter to do our shopping.

I'm guessing you didn't do much driving for those few days.

As a matter of fact, I drove all over the city. A little hobby of mine is to drive until I'm lost and then find my way back. Love it.
I can't say I hated the traffic, either. Probably because I'm not local and I don't have pre-disposed opinions or expectations of certain roads.
The only thing I didn't like about driving everywhere was that I couldn't really look around.

I find that I can get lost in Montreal in about 30 seconds. The only other city I've been in that even comes close to that is Philly. I REALLY hate driving in Montreal and will never do it again unless I have a GPS with me.
