Best place to order a jersey online?
Starting a jersey collection for my room that I'm re-decorating. Going to frame a few and put them on the walls. I am not sure where the best place online is to order these jerseys. The two most reputable so far that I have heard of is River City Sports and NHL.com. So I have just purchased one jersey from each place and will be comparing to see how good a job they do on the lettering, and speed of shipment and all that.
Any previous experience on ordering jerseys online? I am not very happy that I had to pay 30 bucks in duty for the one from the NHL store. My final cost including all GST and shipping on that one was about $240, whereas I didn't pay duty from River City and only came to $212.
I will keep you guys updated on how the jerseys turn out, I was just curious if I made a mistake with either of these places or if anyone has any recommendations for ordering jerseys online.

yes, please keep us updated. i am think of ordering from river city, as they are cheaper than fan attic.
i ordered from river city about 15 years ago (before they were called river city). while nicely done and cheap ($100), they had the wrong font (numbers should not have sarifs and "A" is wrong)
got another one later from fan attic and it was perfect...but expensive ($275).

I ordered a jersey form these guys via eBay. The cresting of the numbers is gorgeous. My the letters on the name bar are as great, but the name bar itself is a little bit strange. But I payed like 140 at the time as I think they had a sale, so I can't complain too much.

Ok got the one from River City Sports. The lettering and numbers are awesome, no complaints whatsoever. The jersey material seems to remind me of the old jerseys though, not the RBK ones. My RBK Flames jerseys seem to be smoother and have smaller holes, or waffles, or whatever you call them. It could be that all Penguins jerseys are like that though. Next time I am in a jersey store I will feel the material, Seinfeld-style, to see if its consistent.
The one from NHL.com is currently being shipped.

Turns out the material in the Pens jersey I just got is legit. Overall a real nice job by River City Sports - I'd recommend them. It's also nice not having to pay duty as they ship from Winnipeg.

I always wondered about River City or Ice Jerseys... seemed to be quite reputable... good to hear some good stories about dealing with them.
If only I could get my hands on LA's first alternate from them...

Has anyone found anyone who is selling the authentic new Flames retro jerseys? All I can find anywhere is the replicas.

All I can get

I've sourced a supplier of the retro red socks, if anyone is interested.
http://www.modellinehockeysocks.com/
Actually, it's labelled the Atlanta Flames sock, but it is the same.

Flames RBK EDGE Authentic jersey. so far, only Flames FanAttic and NHL.com have the retros.
Flames FanAttic blank - $299.99 customized - $389.98
NHL.com blank - $299.99 customized - $379.99
Ice Jerseys blank - $289.00 customized - $368.00
River City Sports blank - $269.99 customized - $329.99
Cool Hockey blank - $239.00 customized - $288.00
assuming that the numbering and lettering is all done correctly, coolhockey is about $40-100 cheaper than its competitors. Yeah_Baby has said that coolhockey customizing is good, they are also "NHLPA Certified"

I'd say it was above good. It hesitate to say amazing because of my namebar, not the lettering, but the actual bar itself. I need to find that camera...

I got both of mine from icejerseys.ca. A semi-pro Kipper one right after the 04 season when they had a sale because of the lockout and an authentic Iggy one last year when they had a 50% off sale and I got it for about $190.

What a rip. The one from nhl.com arrived today and it sucks bad. The name bar is way too long (given that there's only six letters on it) and the letters are too small and condensed.
How can nhl.com have faulty products? They are the official store? Anyway I wish I could post a picture - I'm trying to decide what to do now. I am sending the jersey back and want to order another, but nobody in town has one, nhl.com doesn't have another, and places like River City sports don't seem to have it either.
Just a facepalm situation all the way around.

I purchased a Crosby for my son from NHL.Com it seemed fine. I ordered a football jersey from River City and I was satisfied.
Framing these things is the most financially painful part.
One other idea is that if you are planning a trip to toronto there are several places on Younge street that sell all types of jerseis and they are a little bit cheaper and you get to see the product before giving over your cash.
