Flyers win! Flyers win!

After all the hoopla we managed a good start in the game but really tailed off in the end. Did not get a shot on net in the final frame.

Luongo this time bails out the skaters. 4-3 win.

The Phantoms won their game as well and had another injury. Don't worry we have it under control.

LA Kings win again but the dominance isnt there like I expected.
Malkin and Kovalchuk still continue to struggle.

Nashville drops another close one 4-3 to the Kings. Hopefully once Reinprecht comes back we can win another game. The morale is pretty low in Nashville!

Milwaukee on the other hand looks good! Hopefully the winning ways there transcend to the big league in years to come.

Holy crap we out shot the Hawks 30-19. And a great game from 59 OV Ryan Shannon with two goals. Pretty crazy.

3 Stars
1 - Ryan Shannon (BOS)
2 - Ilja Bryzgalov (CHI)
3 - Glen Metropolit (BOS)

Wow, sure didn't see that coming. We outshoot the Pens 46-17, our PP was 56% today, and Miller was again solid.

Nash and Selanne both with 2g and 2a, Kopitar with their first 3pt games and Getzlaf with no pts; I was worried he'd score 3 goals in this game.

Hey Neil, now its 10 in a row! Although I don't think I'll get close to your 17 game winning streak.

Ha, 8 games into the season and I'll have to send Osgood home for a couple days because he's too tired. 17 saves on 21 shots and 3 goals on 7 first period shots. Wake up Ossy!

Fell behind 2-0 today and couldn't get the tying goal in the 3rd period.

Matt Cullen got hurt, fortunately its just a minor knee injury. Should only miss about a week. But that's a significant injury to a team with little scoring depth. Cullen only has 1 assist in 9 games.

Dumont rumors have been heating up. Waiting for a couple GMs to check their answering machines.

Well that sucks, not sure if scoring is my issue here, it is keeping the puck out of the net and keeping the shot total down that I am having issues. Hopefully Anderson addresses that (maybe not this year). My 3rd and 4th lines have been pretty impressive - its my top 2 lines that are killing me.

Here was the only positive:
Eric Nystrom beats up Shea Weber at 10:58 of 2nd period

god I love Nystrom
