Just my opinion....i'm not saying the Vikings suck or anything. They are a fantastic team.

New Orleans just looks like dynamite on the offensive side of the ball and there defense is shaping up as well.
Frankly, the Colts scare me. Manning is, quietly, on another planet this year.

Broncos are more of a surprise cause of change in QB and coach and all the stuff off-season.

I think most people expected the Titans to slip. It's Kerry Collins afterall.

Denver needs to run the ball methinks.
I'm mad at you now!!! How does Eddie Royal blow up the ONE week I want him to stay quiet? Ugh. Looks like our teams are still undefeated, who woulda thunk that at the start of the season.

I think the Titans being 0-6 is the bigger surprise. After all they did have the best record in the league last season. Denver is a surprise as well, but if you would have asked at the start of the season which was more likely? I would have picked Denver going 6-0 before I would pick the Titans going 0-6.

Funny how the bandwagon fans are starting to surface on this thread now that the Broncos are 6-0.

There are some teams with losses that I would take over the Vikings and Broncos at this point in the season, but I guess because they are undefeated they get to be ranked at the top of most power rankings.

Titans for me.

I think by the end of the year the Broncos will be a lot closer to what people thought and them winning the first 4 games really wasn't much of a surprise considering who it was. So I am not as surprised that they got lucky against NE and SD compared to a team going from first to worst.

What a game. I would like to thank FATS for not stopping my supply of alcohol for the whole night.

Now at work, blood level still a bit above normal.

Great changes at half time for the Broncos on both sides of the ball. I think SD offense was a bit skewed in the first half (they looked beastly) because of the Royal returns and for the few possesions Denver had they didnt do much in the first half leaving the D on the field for a long time.

Second half Orton and the whole offense played much better. This was the best test all season and they dominated the second half.

I still dont like the lack of commitment to the running game - with our offensive line we should be pounding the ball with no regard for human life. However its possible McDaniels is doing this to get Orton some confidence (we know what most of the league thought about Orton prior to this season) or McDaniels is just arrogant and thinks he can make any QB into a good QB.

Good time for a bye before the hellish schedule begins.

Statistics* Cp % - Yds - Sks - Int - TD - Wins - Record - NxtWk
Jay Chokler - 64.0 - 1201 - 10 - 7 - 10 - 3 - 3-2 - @CIN
Kyle Orton* - 63.9 - 1465 - 09 - 1 - 09 - 6 - 6-0 - BYE

Very Homer article in SI but a good read for Broncos fans

Titans.

They didn't appear to change all that much. Haynesworth gone, but beyond that they were pretty stable. To see a drop off of this magnitude is astonishing.

Broncos you didn't know what you had. Generally talented but last year the defense gave up. One thing I will say, Nolan is a crappy head coach but one heck of a D-coordinator.

I'd also day Norv Turner is a crappy HC but a great O-coordinator.

Titans.

The offense was unchanged from last year to this year. They lost Schwartz and Haynesworth, but after that, it's the same personel running the same system.

It's a head scratcher as to why they are still winless, but after watching a part of that blowout, I think it's evident some players have quit on this team.

I think it has alot to do with the Offense as well. They are a slow starting team but in the second half the offense has long drives so the D gets lots of rest and is able to go full out.

From Albert Breer on Twitter.

"Interesting stat -- 7 teams are top 10 in both offense and defense: NO (O:1/D:9), Ind (3/7), NE (4/6), Pitt (5/3), NYG (6/1), Den (9/2), GB (10/8). Speaks to gulf between good teams and bad teams."

Considering the slow start the Pats had, it is amazing to see them so high.

Also the Patriots are dumping a bunch of salaries with the release of Banta-Cain and Eric Alexander. Are they doing so to bring in someone via trade?

Freshly released from the Patriots, Joey Galloway is rumoured to be working out for the Chiefs.

No one is a hater, I am just saying how it is, win some playoff games and you will have some believers that is all. I am quite impressed what the broncos have been doing. I was not expecting it. Will they win a playoff game, only time will tell.

All I am sayin is this is football and enjoy it because unless you're the pats, steelers or colts it could be a one and done season.

Respect will be earned if they keep rolling. The team is on the radar of all the other teams which is a good sign.

It is true, I am getting calls from my buddies saying the Broncos are back, dolphins suck haha. Yet last year they were pretty damn quiet after blowing a 4 game lead with 4 to play.

But hey you can't blame the fans all teams have these type of fans, its the way it goes.

Some interest to some KC fans. Radio stations are reporting that rumours out of Miami are stating that that the Dolphins and Chiefs are close to a deal that would send Dwayne Bowe, and Glenn Dorsey to Miami for 3 undisclosed draft pics.

This would be a huge deal for Miami, with the recent results the dolphins are only a half game back of a wild card and are still in the race for 1st in the AFC allthough the way NE is starting to roll they might not lose a game the rest of the way.

So after releasing Banta-Cain, the Pats then re-sign him?

Quote:
One irresponsibly speculative theory on my part is that they wanted to sign him to an extension, and couldn't re-work his previous deal because it was signed in February and one year must pass before adjusting a signed contract. (Someone will let me know if this theory is wrong, I'm sure.)

Colts and Saints are 1-2 in ESPN's power rankings after week 6 games:

http://espn.go.com/nfl/powerrankings?year=2009&week=7

In week 7 we have 1 vs 32, and 6 vs 31. Could see some high scoring games.

I know that Dorsey and Bowe are world beaters but why are the Chiefs seemingly so interested in giving them away for (what I have heard) meh picks?

It isn't like they are old vets.

Wouldn't it make more sense to keep them over the nothing players you get from those picks and see if they can develop?
