Damn. It looks like I have no reason reason to go visit my friend up north for the next while. This game will be in his PS3 for the next 3 months solid and the fisrt COD:MW was boring as hell to watch. I'm not being suckered in this time.

Cancelled my pre-order for the PC version. They are not going to have dedicated servers for MW2. Many PC players have cancelled their orders.

No dedicated servers means no list of servers you can choose from, no server list you can browse, no servers you can return to and be a regular and get to know the other players. Instead, it's the pathetic console way where you click connect and it simply match-makes you with some other players.

PC owners really got screwed on MWF2. First Activision decided to jack the price up to $60 (from the usual $50) and now we find out they've completely gutted the online component. Makes perfect sense - demand more and offer less.

I'll definitely be acquiring this by "other" means as well for the single player.

The game comes out Nov. 10, for anyone unaware. This is a pre-order.

I am pissed off, I want the collectors edition, and they'll charge like $90 for it. (not the stupid prestige with toys r us vision goggles).

Collector's Edition = Hard cover version?

Too bad there's no special for that version, since I don't want to pay out of my nose for the Prestige.

Collectors (Hardened Edition), comes with a download code for CoD1, an artbook, dvd, and it comes in a steelbook case.

I have actually decided to buy the MW2 Xbox 360 though, which comes with the regular edition game (2 controllers, and a 250GB HDD), and will just eat the loss of having no steelbook.

I actually got it the second time around at 2:45 EST when they put on 300 more for PS3! I still think FS are a bunch of dirty bums, but this time I got the best of it.

Darn it!

I was pretty disappointed when I went to make my pre-order at 8am this morning and they were already "sold out". I emailed FS to complain/ask if there was anyway to still get in on the deal. Surprise, surpise I haven't heard anything back yet.

I even checked the FS site throughout the day just to see if anymore came up for sale but never saw any. Oh well.

All day at work I was refreshing the redflagdeals forum thread, and about 15 minutes before releasing the next wave of the game, posters posted that they "tweeted" about it. So basically I was ready refreshing the FS site a minute before.

A common overlooked feature of twitter ... I can't tell you how many games I've bought on a crazy one day sale or extremely limited quantities (actually the answer is 4, but "I can't tell you" just drives up the intensity of the statement).

Wow, that's incredibly stupid. Of course I ditched the first COD4 after a month in favour of TF2 and never looked back. I guess I'll still be playing TF2 no big loss actually, as it will likely remain the superior game.

Is there a twitter feed for this? I know nothing about twitter, but this would be a reason to join.
