Bioware's next big release is Dragon's Age: Origins
That is the one I am looking forward to seeing.

DLC from day 1, wtf? If we have to pay for it, I am going to terrorist bomb EA.
Easily my most anticipated game. I wonder what they did with NG+? They originally took it out, then asked the Mass Effect community about their decision, and we're universally slammed for that idea, because they chose to do it like fallout, where you just free roam after.
I hate that idea, I want NG+. I should head over to the Bioware forums to see what's happening.

According to another forum I quickly googled (JFGI), NG+ is New Game Plus, defined as the option to restart a new game carrying over all your statistics from the first playthrough.
Apparently, Bioware was going to first make it so that after the game ended, you were free to roam the galaxy at your whim, but according to Justin, they renegged on that idea.
And yes, you will have to pay for the DLC immediately. But it won't be essential to the main story.

That's f***ing stupid, why the hell don't they put it in the game. Complete bullcrap. EA ruins everything they touch, NO EXCEPTIONS.
What NG+ is, is you carry your character over from your previous game. It was essential to get to lvl 60 in the first one, and I am pissed they took it out for the 2nd one.

Yeah, you couldn't get to level 60 without having at least 2 playthroughs on the same character. If you played on Insanity (most exp), did every side quest, everything possible, you still would only get to lvl 57 or something around there.

Soldiers. Immunity.
Seriously, if you max out the Fitness tree, and hotkey Immunity, you can re-cast it the moment its duration expires. You literally are unstoppable, even on Insanity difficulty. Perpetual 80% damage reduction? Hell yeah!

Then don't get it. It's an optional add-on. It's like if Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne was released simultaneously with the main game. It's additional content you can purchase to compliment it, if you wish. But it's by no means necessary, nor is it standalone.
As a gamer I can understand your argument that said DLC should have been included with the original release. However, I think gaming has reached a stage where stuff like this will become the norm. As such, it's better to have it as an option rather than mandatory.
Another interesting point to ponder, MAYBE this additional content couldn't fit on the original game disc due to the limitations of DVD's, and this had to be removed pre-launch. I don't know, I don't work for BioWare, but when I see how much HDD space games take up on my 360 nowadays, the thought doesn't seem all that far fetched.
Personally, I will be getting it. I trust BioWare's pool of talented writers to deliver a stellar product whether it's standalone or add-on.

You may not work for Bioware, and me neither, but I do know EA. And what I know about EA is that everything they touch gets ruined, exploited, etc. EA is the sole reason why gaming is becoming crap. They ruined their sport franchises, and now they are ruining Mass Effect with this garbage.
Thank the gods that Take Two is not under the control of EA, because then gaming WOULD be dead.
I simply don't understand how someone can defend this kind of crap, or EA.

Let's be clear here. Though a unit of EA, BioWare still retains its original branding. I'm pretty certain that BioWare will not allow EA to muscle itself in on their projects and force them to make changes simply because they think it will be better for EA. BioWare has a strong enough reputation that, despite being a small outfit, they have to be respected even by a company like EA.
Secondly, BioWare hasn't released any games since EA acquired it. I think you're jumping the gun by saying 'Mass Effect is being ruined.' Dragon Age: Origins is less than a month away from release date, and it will be the first title BioWare releases since coming under EA's wing. Give it a chance.
