Fire and EMS have to have sirens activated when they have their lights on...police don't.

Do you have photobucket images blocked or something? I made it in paint and uploaded it there. I find when I block images with FF it sometimes blocks all images from a certain url not just the one I meant to block.

You must have the "only nice pictures appear" plugin.

Feel free to draw a nicer version for me. That is if you can interpret what I sort of drew.

The scary part is that if I drew it by hand it would probably be less clear.

I'm pretty sure you are wrong on this one. Person turning left must yield- no matter if you got there first or not. To give it some perspective, think of a green light. Left turning traffic yields to all opposing traffic- why would there be completely different set of rules for a stop sign?
And back to the previous pages- it's good to know about the lines on MacLeod meaning no uncontrolled intersections. But my point was more that it's easier to have a yield sign then to make people have to guess.

And believe it or not, it's a legal requirement, at least in BC. A cop "clarified" that for me once when I drove ambulance.

Yes. 4 way stop it's who got there first. Standard two way stop; traffic turning left must yield.

Even if they don't, no problem but don't get mad at the drivers that are having a hard time getting out of their way.
Also don't people know that it's legal to go through a red light if you have to get out of the way of an emergency vehicle and there is nowhere else to go? It's suppose to be done with as much safety as possible. Funny watching people slowly try to pull to the right to make room and even park sideways at the edge of the intersection just not to go through no matter what.

That is 100% false. The only vehicles permitted to perform illegal actions are Emergency vehicles. That is why you should always pull curbside because only the ambulance can drive on the wrong side of the road if necessary. (assuming 2 way traffic) Other times it is better to pull towards the median so the ambulance go up the sidewalk if necessary.
Obviously you can bend this a bit but if a cop was there you would get a ticket if you ran a red just to make room for an ambulance.

Not a legal thing, but it is an argument for allowing us all to carry handguns.
The numbnuts driving back to Calgary on Hwy 1 at the end of a long weekend. At 80 kmh. Until there's a passing lane going up a hill, then they need to drive 100 kmh, so only one or two cars gets by them. I hope you get knocked off the side of the mountain.

Speed limits. The top speed limit in Alberta is 110km/h. Every car sold in Alberta should be limited to going 110km/h.

I have to do some research on this then. This was what I was taught in Manitoba a while back. If I'm wrong then good to know. Just doesn't make sense. If you are at the front and there is nowhere to go and there is an emergency seems like the logical thing to do if there is no other way to let them pass. The whole intersection is stopped anyway. I need to check this out.

Basically in my example, the person at the 4 way in essance has a temporary green light, so to speak, when it is their turn to go.
To put it more clearly imagine I'm heading North and another guy is heading South. We both approach the same intersection. I stop, wait my turn and procede to turn left. That means I'll now be heading Westbound. The guy heading South is turning right, and doesn't have to stop at the stop sign because the road in question has a right turn lane that yields to Westbound traffic.
Since I've already stopped, and it is now my turn to proceed (remember 4 way stop), I in essance have the right of way over ALL other traffic. When I turn left into the only Westbound lane, ######bag heading South and turning right onto Westbound lane DOES NOT have the right of way over me. BUT it happens all the time that the person thinks that my stop sign means I have to wait for him. Unfortunately if this was the case I could get stuck at the 4 way forever.
Here is my horrible, horrible Paint interpretation of the scene. It isn't to scale and I only drew a right turn lane on one corner. Nevertheless I think it makes sense.
North is up, West is left.

The driver with the yield sign must yield to you. His yield sign is completely unrelated to the four way stop. He has to yield to whatever traffic is coming into the lane from the intersection - in this case - you.
Really it works the same as intersection that have the same scenario, except they have a traffic light instead of a four way stop. If there is a pedestrian island, the right turn lane will have a yield sign, and the traffic in that lane must yield to whatever traffic is coming out of the intersection.
