I have never had this happened before on a canceled order. Normally they just cancel the transaction and you get the full amount back. I wonder if they just did a refund instead of canceling it. Weird.
Email the company and tell them you will never order from them unless they give you some type of credit for your inconvenience.

I don't plan to order from them again. So a credit isn't going to do anything for me. But thanks for the suggestion.

That $7 could have gone toward buying a Flames ticket.

It would be better spent on this.

Unless they hedged their currency. Last year buying dollars at the start of the season would have paid off big. This year it costs them. I would bet currency hedging is a big deal for the flames owners

Why are you paying more for fewer hours of instruction?

When I moved to the UK in '06 it was $2.30 to the £. A year later I moved some surplus cash over and converted it into pounds sterling at an exchange rate of $2.08. Today I think that the rate is $1.66 to the £. I never thought the dollar would be under 2-1 to the pound. I figured it was more likely that we would eventually be 3-1 before what we have right now. Things are much cheaper over here wen you think in terms of CAD but I've taken an absolute bath on the conversion probably to the tune of $5000 CAD. Now I can't see the exchange rate getting near 2-1 again so I can eventually regain a similar principle sum.
It sucks.

This happened to me. I simply phoned VISA, and they corrected it for me. In my case it was an overcharge on a rental car. The rental car company refunded me, but because of VISA buy-back rates it cost me $33. One nice phone call to VISA and I had the $33 put back!

If they ship before they charge, they would be opening themselves up to all kinds of fraud and losses when people's cards bounce after the product has already gone out the door. The end result is that either they go out of business, and you can't get item, or they have to charge higher prices to cover the losses, and you are out $7 anyway.
Incidentally, ALWAYS check on whether an American retailer is willing/able to ship to Canada before buying.

To charge WHEN they ship. And I did check, but apparently this is the only item that they would not ship. What I'm getting at is I want them to do like amazon. Just about every time I've bought from an online retailer, that's what they've done. Even bunk little websites do that. But I get it, you want me to suck it up and deal. It's alright man, I was just blowing off some steam.
