That might be why the Fins just plucked Kory Sheets off the Niners practice roster.
The main reason Sheets isn't on the Niners roster right now is he hasn't figured out blitz pickups yet, but hand him the ball and he can do some real damage.

Sanders, Hayden and Jackson should all return for the St.Louis or SF game.

Collie has only been in the league for 5 games. It's too early to say that. At the time when Gonzo comes back, he will go back to being the #2 reciever. I'd put Gonzalez ahead of Collie for now. When Gonzalez returns in 3-4 weeks from now: Wayne, Clark(TE), Gonzalez, Collie, Garcon will be the order that Peyton looks for.
With that said, I have been impressed with Collie and people thinking he is better already then Gonzalez is a real nice problem to have.

The war of words continues between the Fins and Jets.
Quote:
"They nonsensed their ass all the way up and down the field," linebacker Channing Crowder responded today. "Nonsense, I love nonsense. They say gimmick, gimmick this, gimmick that. We've won games with the Wildcat. They ran two fake punts. So if you're going to say gimmicks, those are real gimmicks. Wildcat is an offensive formation, they run it for two years. They have thousands of plays on film about it, go stop it.
"Shut up about all the junk talking and whatever they're talking about they ain't going to give us no credit. We'll see them in three more weeks, we got to play them again, so the hell with them."

Also, Rex Ryan takes alittle blame for not using timeouts on the Fins final drive.
Quote:
Ryan also second-guessed leaving two timeouts on the board and not giving his offense an opportunity to put a final drive together.
"I would've handled it differently," he said. "I really was shocked by that. ... I just assumed we'd stop them."
The Dolphins proved Ryan wrong.

Indy had a tough time containing it (I think it would have been different with Sanders in the lineup) but we scored on our possessions on the offensive end to balance it out.
To the Jets, I say shut your trap.

Hilliard was a rookie last year.
Hopefully this translates into some playing time for the Kalispell boy, he had a nice preseason and has played well on special teams the few times I've been able to watch the Dolphins.

I agree with you I watch HIlliard in the preseason and he looked good. I was like its too bad we have 4 good running backs one of them will have to suffer. Well Cobbs tore his ACL and now Hilliard gets a chance to step up and show he can be a #3. Ricky is not getting any younger and sooner or later someone will have to replace him. I alwaysthought Lex had the tools to be the guy more than cobbs. Now its time to see if he can make the most of his 5 or so snaps he might get a game.He does well on those he might get more.

Anyone else hear Rush Limbaugh blame the NFL Players association for getting him removed from Dave Checketts group trying to buy the Rams. Going on about how the NFL used him as a negotiating chip for upcoming CBA talks. Essentially the NFL keeps him out to appease the PA in hopes they'll get concessions in the next CBA.
I never listen to Limbaugh and I missed his segment on Countdown when he made his McNabb comments. But man is that guy a loon.

He's not a loon.
He's a business genius who has used his unfalterinig ego to make himself millions.
And this thing this week was all ego as are the comments you referenced.

He definitely is a business genius, but if he does believe some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth he is also a loon. Ann Coulter is the same way, but i have a lil' more respect for Rush because he is at least somewhat civil.

Agreed. They both say things to generate controversy. It keeps their names fresh and people listening whether they agree or not. It guarantees their success.
Personally, I can't stand the guy. Even if I agreed with everything he says his arrogance on the air (he may not be as arrogant in personal relationships but who knows) would keep me from listening.
He's an entertainer.

Apparently a ton of teams have called about Browns' returner Cribbs. The Dolphins, Colts, Chiefs, Raiders, and 49ers are all apparently interested.
I would love for Indy to make a deal for him. Punt and kickoff returns are not good in Indy and Cribbs would instantly put them in the top 5. Cleveland will probably ask a lot for him though meaning only a few teams can ante up.

Careful what you wish for. The guy is playing on a renegotiated contract that he is upset with and wants to renegotiate.
Let him be somebody else's problem. He'd fit right in with the Oakland paradigm.

Well the Dolphins have Ted Ginn, so why do they want the malcontent Cribbs?

Niners just released their returner (Rossum, who was then picked up by the Cowboys) to make room for Crabtree.

A lot of these kick return guys tend to have a shorter shelf life too in the NFL. 2-3 good productive years and than their numbers really start to decline (Remember Dante Hall anyone?). A lot of teams seem to think they can take a great returner and turn him into a threat in the passing game. Very few teams ever manage to make those guys into receivers who do much. Devin Hester's are a lot fewer and further between than some may think.

Browns won't trade him. He is under a "less than market value" contract untill the end of 2011 I believe.
