Is there really an arguement about the box? Watch that video people! This family isn't your normal crew.
Wouldn't surprise me if the entire family, kids and all planned this scheme to make it rich. Down to the sibling saying he saw the other one get into the freaking balloon! You can't send him to jail for lying, and the parents can just play dumb.

Anyway, what does that have to do with anything? The fact on whether or not I thought this was fake before the ending has nothing to do with when I posted.
I bet a lot of people had doubts about this story and were therefore not emotionally invested in it like people who thought it was real.

I'm not saying that it wasn't a big story. I'm just saying to take it easy on people who were making jokes and not taking it seriously. It seemed fake at the time to a lot of people, and it ended up being fake. For people who were fairly certain that there was probably no kid in the balloon, the whole situation was slightly comical.

Damn you Colorado. Does Colorado ever get in the news for anything that doesn't suck? We got bird boy here, a while back we had the redneck who armoured up a bulldozer and went ape on the whole town, this place angers me.
The kid was allegedly hiding in the attic? You'd have think we'd have found this out earlier. I know if I'm not sure about my kid's status of floating in the sky I'd probably search every nook and cranny of the house first.
