I think if they managed to extend human life in a meaningful fashion so that death really became accidental as opposed to eventual, you'd see some real changes to how populations are controlled. You'd have to be licensed/pay to have a child with higher costs for families with more than one kid. I'd think we'd see some manned orbit & lunar missions to create living spaces around Earth as well as deep space missions to find other suitable places to grow the species. Really a lot like some sci-fi you can read - Heinlein especially.

I was watching Sportsnet Ontario and they had a promo for the Leafs that finished with the line, "Spirit is Everything".
I thought winning was everything but that doesn't exactly work for the Leafs. No wins on the season and no Cup wins since 67. But really we all know what the real motto of the Leafs organization is - Money is Everything.

To be fair, that's the motto of the Leaf's ownership.

Why has the quality of posts declined to such dispicable levels in the FOI forum. You need to only read that Langkow thread to see where I'm coming from.

Can anyone in the Halifax area recommend a good micro brew? Garrison Nut Brown Ale is the best I've had so far...
Ive also had Garrison Tall Ship Amber Ale which wasn't quite as good as the Nut Brown.

Did you guys know there is a cool little button next to the last page thing that allows you to pick what page you want to go to? I've always been frustrated that you can only go first, last or 10 pages back/forward from the current page.
The more you know I guess.

Not really but if I have a general idea of when something was posted, especially in a long thread like Random thoughts, and I want to find it to quote it, I hate having to basically go page by page.

Don't you think having sex with Vince is punishing, even for a whore?

Anyone notice that Michael Landsberg always mentions that Cammalleri is a Jew whenever he comes up?

No. But mostly because I can't stand Landsberg and don't watch his show.

Hmmm. Could have something to do with the fact that his name is LansBERG?
In case you couldn't tell I'm sarcastically answering your question by pointing out that LansBERG is clearly trying to connect with his fellow Jew.
Actually Nystrom is a Jew too. I remember when we played the Rangers (i think) last year the guy that interviewed Cammy between periods mentioned how rare it is to have 2 jews on the same team and Cammy wasn't sure how to answer.
Nobody asks Jarome how he feels playing with a fellow half black guy (Dawes).

Well judging by the mug shots, it was pretty punishing for both I suppose. All I can say is that is probably a good thing this little incident happened before the Slop Chop.

Why is it not possible for cell phone companies to add a "block this number" to their list of options.
Some numbers I just dont want to ever be able to call me. I would prefer if those numbers either got a busy signal or went straight to voicemail.
Please, any phone that is the first to do this will get my buisness, I will break my contract with Rogers if I have to to get this feature. I want to be able to do this without talking to anyone, just a simple call log that as soon as the phone sees this number - if its in the block list then dont ring.
