I think she is the Pied Piper

So...thoughts on Sylar "coming back" and now joining the carnival? I kinda saw it coming, especially after they were so interested in Peter being an empath. The only downside I see to Sylar getting his memory back (which they hinted at in the clip from next week) is that Sylarkman will be no longer, and that has seriously been one of the best parts of the season so far.

Does Sylar's reappearance mean the end of Nathan Petrelli?

Could be.. as for the new character atleast we now see her "power" does something. Seems more a of a love filler interest for Peter so far though.. Hope he gets another decent power back.....

Claire's room mate is creepy and annoying. They needed to cast someone hotter.

Have you seen her in Californication? It's because of that show that she holds my attention now

No sorry. All I can figure is that it's a "family" with abilities including the ability to make their little circus appear and disappear as they please and they need someone to fill out the dead brother.

It seems to be a 'family' that has a one of each type of hero: a time-manipulator (like Hero), an empath (like Peter), a speedy guy, etc. They often reference the someone that has died, and my guess is that he was probably an empath which is why they were interested in Peter at first. When Peter proved to be too altruistic, they probably went for Sylar instead. I'm not sure if they know how he obtains his powers though or if they've mistaken him for an empath. You'd almost have to think the former, as they'd be setting themselves up for having their heads ripped open otherwise. Of course, the lead seems rather sure of himself, so he may be arrogant enough to think he can control Sylar.

The circus is probably either being projected to Sylar or hidden from the police by someone with Parkman like abilities.

Thought that was a fairly weak episode. Too much deaf girl who can see pretty colors and crack plaster, no Parkman. Too much creepy lesbian who's totally lame, no HRG.

I totally missed the aforementioned characters as well as Nikki or whatever the hell her name is.

I enjoyed Sylar and his interaction with the female detective. I hope he gets rid of the circus ringmaster in brutal fashion.

T-Bag? T-Bag's awesome and should stick with the show for quite some time.

Anyone still watching this?

I don't know where they're going with Claire's storyline. I'm not really fond of the cheap attempts at titillation.

Yes. I'm still watching. Robert Knepper is great but his character isn't nearly as good as it was on Prison Break.

I think where they're going with Claire is where they're going with all the characters - you can't escape from what you are with many of the Heroes trying to live normal lives (unsuccessfully) while T-Bag's circus is the opposite escape.

So what attempts at titillation are you fond of, if not the cheap type?

How do you know when a show has jumped the shark...... Lesbians...

I am really enjoying this season so far though aside from claires plot. Sylar was hilarious when he was sleeping with Parkman's wife.

Interesting that the circus guy has repeatedly said that they are only looking for one new person yet they are recruiting 5 or 6 of them. So what do they do with the rest????

Also pretty obvious Racisim allegory with the kid dragged behind the car. I would perfer the racism message be a little more subtle.

and what is circus guy's actual power? he has that ink thing, earth moving, and circus teleportation. what is his motive and purpose...other than being a cheap jack sparrow?

His power is Terrakinesis, which is earth-moving. He's able to manipulate ink like in the episode where he puts himself into the newspaper clipping in Peter's apartment because it's homemade ink, so it is presumably made from natural/organic minerals etc. The ink he puts in Lydia's back, he has no power or control over; he just gives her the ink with which she can predict the future/find people etc.

Sometimes I think people focus too much on what the specials can do. I, personally, don't like it when every last detail of every character is explained; I like some mystery. I think that's why Sylar was so intriguing and such a popular character when he was first around. I mean, think back to the episode in season 1 where Parkman shot at him, turned around, and then he was gone. We all know Sylar couldn't fly, and that he didn't have Claire's ability -- so how did he survive? How did he get out of there so quickly? It's just something you'll never know, kinda like the carnival teleporting.

I kinda like Claire's storyline right now. It's kind of showing her that, even when she tries to live and thinks she is living a "normal" life, not everything is normal. I think they're going the right way with the Gretchen/Claire stuff -- it seems natural and not really that forced, to me anyway.

As for Samuel recruiting people to the carnival, he said in the first episode that it was time they all came "home". When he tried recruiting Peter, he said he needed to replace Joseph, who was presumably an empath. So I think it's a case of needing to replace one person, but "recruiting" as many people as will listen.

seemed like it was more of a filler episode. not sure if l like where they are going with it.

if samuel wanted a time traveler from the beginning, why not go after hiro first? do not really like his character. never saw prison break, so i cannot 'relate' to him.

flashback episodes are usually lame, regardless of what series. this one way just okay.

I agree this did seem like a filler episode, I hope next week is much better. What is claire going to do now she knows that girl was been behind a lot of incidents?
