It has co-op and competitive multiplayer, but it isn't by any means normal.

For co-op:

Under certain circumstances (when in soul form) you can leave an item which tells other players that you are willing to help out. Anyone that can see this item can summon you into their game, and you go kill things. There is no way to assure that certain people will be able to get to that item first, so it is apparently somewhat difficult to get friends into your game.

For competitive:

Under certain circumstances (when in soul form) you can activate an item which lets you bust into some (living) person's game. You then try to kill them off.

It looks like it's sold out pretty much everywhere in town.

If anyone sees it around anywhere post it here.

I've been super-insanely busy lately, so I haven't had much time to play... one thing I'm not sure about so far, is what to do with all the found weapons and items that I'm not using. Do I sell them? Transmute them into something else?

So far, I'm just storing them in the bank...

There is no selling of items in this game. The best you can do is "bank" them in the Nexus with that guy right beside the blacksmith to get them out of your inventory.

I finally beat the Phanlanx at the end of 1-1 last night. On to the trial and error process of getting through 1-2 now.

I am still on such a limb wether to purchase this, Uncharted 2, or Brutal Legend.

I got bored of Oblivion quickly, as well as Fallout, which is why I am leaning toward UC2 or Brutal Legend, as they have multiplayer, and aren't as frusturating

Is there something else we can do with this stuff later in the game? Like a spell to turn items into something else, or some sort of ... something...

It doesn't make sense for the game to drop this much junk and not have anything to do except stockpile it or delete it.

The gamespot and Gametrailers video reviews were pretty good in terms of describing the game, both reviewed it quite well.

Should help those on the fence about the game.

I always thought an Atlus game had the highest chances of being a rare game if it was, say, a Shin Megami Tensei game.

I keep hearing mixed reviews. I've heard it called boring and really difficult by the negative reviews, but the trailers make it look like a lot of fun.

I was going to pick up uncharted 2 as previously mentioned, but after reading and watching some videos I think I will purchase this game. I want a game that will last me a while and I figure this will do it. And Im buying the deluxe version, as for an extra 10$ i get the strategy guide! also got the artbook+cd from where i ordered it. now just to recieve it! (damn online shopping!)

Looking forward to playing this punishing game. No pause really sucks

Im not the biggest RPG fan, but the tactical action approach seems very, very fun to me. Not just run in and expect to fight a crowd of a ton of mobs like Untold Legends (Which i enjoyed :O)

89$ for the deluxe version shipped, taxes in. Not bad. 5$ for shipping.

Wish there was a demo. Hard to get an idea of how this game is getting rave reviews by just watching some videos and trailers.

I was thinking about that, but some games just aren't suited for demo's. An RPG such as this would be tough as the demo would either need to be really long, or people would just stop playing because they would die alot (and demo's have no real reward of beating them!)

I figured, i'll buy it. Judging by the videos, it'll be hard, frusturating, but ALOT OF FUN

The thing I want to know from this game is how tough it really is. I'm generally pretty good at video games, but will this game just annoy me or is it still fun?

From what I have read and been told from people who own it is that it is tough, but not tough in the way that will turn you off the game. Tough as in when you figure out the right strategy, its very rewarding. The online feature such as reading people's notes or seeing their ghost before they die only help in the situation!

All right. I spent about $90 for the Deluxe Ed. from Videogameplus. This and Uncharted 2 should keep me busy for awhile till MW2 comes out and then I'll be set for the year.
