Ireland as good as guaranteed 2nd spot now with Cyprus 4-1 up.
Means they can go for it against Italy whereas if Bulgaria had won a point for both teams would have secured their respective positions.

Seems like a fitting way to stick it to the Croats one more time.

Not looking good for Portugal, Denmark and Sweden in a 0-0 draw at the moment.
Not looking too good for the Czechs either, out of all the teams likely to come out of group 3, I did not peg Slovakia and Slovenia....

If you're watching Denmark, Sweden you can tell it's fixed. Both teams have agreed to do nothing. I don't know why soccer always lets these two teams get away with this.

I actually cant find it, its not on any of my soccer channels.
Sweden and Denmark do have a long history of draws, as any Italian will attest, however, I dont believe that its a conspiracy, at least not the time the Italians are complaining about. Its tough to rig a 3-3 draw.
Today? Well, I havent seen it so I wont comment, but really I sincerely doubt either Denmark or Sweden give a rat's ass about screwing Portugal.

Case in point, Denmark scores in the 82nd minute. They just opened the door for Portugal.

Ah somebody broke the agreement!
It was a nice goal.

It's not that they want to screw Portugal, they just want to help each other usually.

I suppose. This win will seal Denmark's spot and put Sweden in tough against Portugal.
If Portugal win today then its back in their hands, they'll be in 2nd spot with a game left, while Sweden would sit one point back with a game left, so Portugal would be back in control.

I get a chuckle out of that. Every Czech footy fan is pulling hard for Slovakia!
Greece and Latvia in a barn burner!!

I know there are New Zealand fans here! They went to Bahrain and drew 0-0!
So it's back in Wellington on Wednesday where they have a good chance!

I don't get how it would have been to Sweden's benefit to play for a draw.
Portugal win and they would still have moved ahead on GD.

Czechs cruising and taking it to Poland. 2-0 lead now, but it might not matter.

Not to mention there powerful offence with that 1 goal. Well with the way it stands now there is about a 0.00001% chance the Czechs will finish second, so with that said I'd love to see Slovenia win the group and the slovaks finish second and then faulter in the playoffs. When you lose 2-0 at home like that after a good campaign, that is embarrasing.

Portugal getting incredibly lucky, one shot just squeaks wide of the far post and then a good delivery off of a free kick and the header smokes the bar.

Well, Portugal is in really good position now to make the playoffs. If they win their next game, they get second spot guaranteed, but it could be interesting, Sweden are facing Albania while Portugal play Malta, those should be easy win games for both teams, but Sweden drew Albania 0-0 in their first meeting and so did Portugal, but the Portuguese should smoke Malta.

If the following 8 teams make it into the playoffs this would be the seeds (by FIFA Rankings)
Upper Seeds
6. Russia
10. France
12. Greece
17. Portugal
Lower Seeds
25. Ukraine
38. Ireland
46. Bosnia
54. Slovenia
If Croatia gets in ahead of Ukraine, they are #9 which would drop Portugal into the lower seeds.
