Yeah, but Brett Favre loves to play, he's a gunslinger, he just has fun out there and he'd play for free.....oh and he'll be forty next week.

Allen tonight - 2 tackles, 4.5 sacks, 1 safety, 1 forced fumble

Chiefs all season - 5 sacks, 0 safety.

Ya, as a Chiefs fan I'd be extatic what we traded the guy.
If he cuts out the late hits, aiming at the knees and consistent taunting then perhaps I would be a little more on board.

Add in his off field personality and he isn't a likable guy.

And what do I have to be bitter about with Allen? I am not a Chiefs fan so I don't care that they dealt him.

i forgive officials for missing stuff...they are only human and wont see everything.

but..

Its when they call stuff that doesnt happen is when i just cant handle it.

And I am one that thinks NFL officiating is the best in pro sports.
Other than this call I thought the refs were good and didn't get involved too much. This after I witnessed the refereeing debacle that was the Baltimore-NE game.

But yet you seem to know of his off field demeanor and want to call him a ######bag....but not that I'm surprised that moon is being cranky and bitter.

Ya, celebrating a sack is taunting now, what next, take out the fist pump when a QB throws a TD?

I am not cranky or bitter at all. I am saying a don't like a guy, big difference.

It is easy to know his off field demeanor when a lot of what he has done is in the news and he does a lot of interviews.

There is a difference in celebrating a sack and taunting as well.

When Jon Gruden said "it was an honor and a privilege just to be associated with Farve" I had to mute the game. Enough already. The constant media coverage is making me hate one of the greatest of all time.

Couldn't agree more. I like Favre, but the coverage is ridiculous. You can't really blame Favre all that much, I mean the whole 'he's like a kid out there thing' is out of his hands. He just plays, you really don't see him doing a whole lot of self promoting.

The comebacks have been annoying to a point, but I cant really blame a guy for not walking away when he still has the desire and ability to play and I also can't blame the guy for struggling with a decision that would obviously have a big impact on his life.

What assumptions?

I am assuming the three arrests? I am assuming seeing him needing a coach to get him off the field because he is too busy yelling at opponents/fans? The numerous hits when he goes low and hits late?

What exactly about those things are assumptions?

Oh so we are talking about his KC days and not his Minnesota days?

That makes sense, we was a misguided, troubled kid. But I'm pretty happy to say that it seems like he's turned his life around in the land of 1,000 lakes.

As for the Favre love, I'm just happy I didn't have to listen to half the game. And for the second half, when there was sound, we were too busy laughing at the table beside us who would go on rants about the Packers.

I was talking mainly about his KC days as I said KC may have been better off getting a bad guy off their team.

He stills seems like a jerk on the field in Minny but certainly not the headache he was in KC.

If you know moon, you know that no professional athlete is ever allowed to make a mistake; and if they do they should never, ever be forgiven or given a second chance.

See: Theo Fleury, Mike Vick

Or in Allen's case a 3rd and then 4th chance.

Given plenty of players second chances that deserved it, the two you mentioned didn't in my mind.

But it would be interesting to see if you bring up Vick if he had gone to the Red Skins and not the Eagles.

If I'm building an NFL team I'l take every single player I can find who is a jerk on the field. This isn't a friendly game.

It is kind of strange.

The week before SF comes within one play of knocking off the Vikings, but after that game is almost sounds like no one will contend with the Vikings.

And I need to take issue with what Jaws was saying. He was complaining that the Pack wasn't blitzing enough. If he had actually watched last week's game he would have noticed that Favre thrives on being blitzed.

I think the biggest issue with the Pack was the O-Line. Some of those sacks were on Rodgers but not all of them. The Pack really needed to run a bit more, even if they are stuffed at the line it will make the rushers slow down a bit and opens up the play action a bit more.

The Defense is a work in progress, but they did pretty well stopping the ground game. Now they just need to work on getting to the QB. No secondary can consistently cover when the QB has that long to throw.

It isn't a game of taunting and cheap shots either.
