NHL 10 (XB360) Online Season (RULES DISCUSSION)

Good work Temp. As he stated, I wont have my 360 back for 2-3 weeks, but trust me, as soon as I get it back I am gonna play for days!

I don't have any ideas on how to distribute teams (Chi, Pit), other than the commish generating a random order and asking all the teams if they want to swap. Make a date and time (i.e. sun 7pm) and give every team 5 minutes to post their choice, otherwise they get skipped over and don't swap. No excuses.

Starts at 7pm.
First person has until (including) 7:04
Second person has until (including) 7:09 (regardless of how long #1 took)
Third person has until (including) 7:14 (regardless of how long #2 took)
Fourth...

It sounds like everyone wants this league to get started asap, so this would be a nice, easy way to just get it done. It shouldn't be so complicated.

So if I understand correctly, Double_Dion is Anaheim, and once Rubecube gets in again, as well as Temp, we should be at 26/30.

That gives us:

If I'm not mistaken. I'll ask now, who would like to change their team to Pitt, or Chicago (or NY Islanders and Minnesota)?

If your fine with your team don't reply, but if you want to trade, post. The deadline will be Friday at 12:00pm (noon). I'll then draw from a hat at my home or something (maybe internet). I won't allow people on the waiting list to enter, or those who still want to join. If your new, you get the Isles or Minny.

That's what I mean. I think is stupid that we have to do this again because some people didn't have time. I'm not knocking them for that, obviously real life is more important, but it is unfair to most people. If people really want to "Blow up the league", I can do this. We will use the original draft order, but for the people not involved anymore (chicago, pitt), the draft moves up 1 spot. So the original order was:

2. 7. [phaneuf_train] [Detroit] [Iggy iP]
3. 29. [rajaboparai] [Chicago] [rajaboparai]
4. 8. [nickerjones] [Pittsburgh] [nickerjones10]

6. 5. [FlamesKickAss] [Columbus] [topshelf9]
7. 1. [FanIn80] [Boston] [rollbomb]
8. 3. [Gozer] [Philadelphia] [IterativePie]

But since rajabopara and nickjones are out, CRXguy would move up 2 spots, FlamesKissAss would move up 2, etc. So the draft order would move up two. And people on the waiting list, or those who joined in late, pick last.

Does that sound fair? This of course means we would pick all new teams, which would take another bloody 2 weeks, then it would take another bloody 2 weeks for everyone to sign up.

It is fair, but it will take at least 3 weeks, unless we give a time limit of like an 1 hour.

Opinions?

Because all our records would be lost as well, and I know half of us already have played.

that would be the ideal time to start with that update

Another problem with people switching teams, does it affect executed trades? If we started again Bibtin you probably wouldn't have to play with Atlanta anyways.

Jusst for ease, i actually dont need to be back involved in trying to score pittsburg or otherwise.

A big main point for this league is playing with updated rosters for myself. we'll see how that gets done

I agree with Bibtin. I vote for not starting a new one, but if that is what people want I would still join the new league.
