Defense saves the game for the Stamps tonight. There was some ups and downs for the defense but mostly ups and when they needed to stop Hamilton they were up the task. Offense on the other hand are doing everything to lose the game. There were some mental blocks there. One was Joffrey Reynolds just walking by thinking the play were stopped already. If he didn't stop playing there, they could have gotten the first half or even a TD.
I don't think there is a problem with the way the coaching staff called the play. This is definitely Burris' bad execution all night. We can't blame the dropped balls this time and the coaching staff did mixed up the plays. It's just that Burris is way off tonight. Usually I like to defend Burris but not this game. There is something about playing Hamilton(the worst team playing away games this season) that Burris plays bad.
Hopefully next game will be different. Calgary is in first place again by themselves.

It's not just Hamilton. I've been so called lucky enough to be at the last two games. Burris was sad in both of them. He had one good drive against the Lions and Zero against the Cats. Especially any play he rolls out the pass is never on target. Like the Reynolds one where he is forced to throw to the wrong guy but even then the pass is a sad one. Plus he just continues to throw into double coverage and throw them up for grabs. And the play calling is sad. Let's see if I can get it having seen it over and over and over. First down hand off to Joffrey. Second down a quick 3-4 yard pass. Total gain six or seven yards. Punt. They must have set a record for two and outs the last three games.
The defense was subbing guys in like crazy. They had to as they spent dang near the entire game on the field. First place they are but the best team? If they played the playoffs tommorrow any team in the West could beat them. Nor do I think it's parity. They should be head and shoulders above the Esks and Lions. Riders can give them a good game but they should prevail over them as well.
My out for them is the playoffs aren't tommorrow. They still have time to get on track.
