Any way to make the match settings so that its against North American players only? I've searched maybe 12 times and every single game has been against someone from Europe.

I am having a problem with my create a player for EASHL. I made him once and used him on the Fatas/Calgary Puckers. However, when I exit Online and go to MY NHL10 and create a player zone to edit my player, I save it and none of the changes are saved when I play our next game. Has anyone else had this problem? Should I be going somewhere else to do this in the ONLINE menu? I've even tried saving and loading first but nothing changes.

Hadn't had that but something else that was similar.

The CPU had a delayed penalty against them, so my goalie went to the bench for the extra attacker. The CPU then batted the puck out of midair with a stick, and the put went all the way down to my open net and in

Would batting the puck out of the air constitute having control of the puck?

you could do that in the past by poke checking.

its pretty similar to real life, where they make you actually possess the puck. while it sucks when it happens, i don't think its a glitch or anything.

if a player in the nhl batted the puck out of the air the play would be blown down on a delayed penalty

Yeah, it should have been blown down, but like dobbles said, there are ways around it. I used to poke check loose pucks and score on empty nets

I almost have my Veteran card for online play. Always play defense and have 21 goals and 31 assists in 51 games. So excited, only 14 more games! My average is B, but should be B+. So hard to get A-, and then keep it there.

I have a B+ for goalie, and it's getting better, since I got used to the controls, and my GAA is something around 1.50, Save % is weak around 900%, and 3 SO. I have only played in the Team Play Community as a goalie though, I don't think our EASHL team needs a human goalie at this point.

My GAA is 10.24. I have let it more goals than I have saves, 7 goals against, 6 saves.

So I haven't seen MissKat online in a while. Those sliders must take a lot of time.

So I'm trying to play my buddy online, on ps3, but on both ends its says we are "Idle, signed in EA" and when I click on him it says "No actions available for this player"

We can both play online against randoms, so what's the deal?

Are you using the player HUB you access from the community menu rather then the player HUB in a lobby or club room?

Anyone else notice if a player blocks a shot and gets injured, he'll skate to the bench but not get off the ice for another skater? So essentially you're playing shorthanded.

Hopefully someone here can help me. I haven't played the NHL series in a few years so trying to figure out the menus is a little confusing.

What happened is I played the demo a day before I picked up the actual game. When you start the demo you have to do the tutorial/make a pro just like when the actual game starts up. However, I wanted to get right into real games so I skipped all that.

What I'm wondering is now that I want to start my Be A Pro character is there any way to redo all the tutorial things again? I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that doing that earns you points to apply to your pro's attributes.

I don't recall anything like that...

I have another question for gaining attributes, specifically for EASHL. For the offline modes, will setting the time to 4 minutes per period count for a game when trying to get boosts that require 40+ games?

yes. additionally, you can sim the game and only play the last 5 minutes and that counts as a played game.

since many of them were stat based (average 2 goals per game) i ended up just playing the 3rd periods on super easy settings. then i could still get a few points, and was able to play the 40 games in a relatively low amount of time.

there are a few that you have to do manually. from what i have read, the agility +5 you have to score 250 goals in season mode. that apparently cannot include simming. i think there are some other random ones like that. but in general you can sim through it. i managed to unlock quite a few of the boosts the first weekend the game was out using this method.
