That would be pretty sweet, but I'm pretty happy with this app at the moment. I just wonder what the data usage is, I'd assume it's very very minimal.

Dropbox users rejoice! The Dropbox iPhone/iPod Touch app is available for free on the App Store.

If you have multiple computers (Mac, Windows, Linux, and now iPhone), and you need to keep your documents in sync, you owe it to yourself to check out Dropbox. It is simply awesome. The very best example of what cloud computing can accomplish. It does backup, synchronization, file sharing, file revisioning, etc, in an incredibly intuitive, cross-platform way.

Just downloaded Ping! but don't know anyone else with it. Is it working well for everyone?

It's working, not sure about well. Sometimes I get people's messages twice, and I get 4 beeps for one message.
But I'm sure the program will be refined when it's first update comes out.

I was able to find a friend who downloaded it and used it late last night. As you said, it's working and it's not horrible. However, if they can get a majority of people on board and tune it up, it will catch on.

I think it should catch on. iPhone users have been waiting for something like this, myself included.

I keep getting double messages from people, and errors in sending some messages. But overall, I'm happy that there's something like BBM for the iPhone and am fully willing to live through the bug-filled early days of the program.

OK, this is the most incredible app I've found to date. If you have a Mac, with an EyeTV tuner connected to it, EyeTV for the iPhone allows you to:

1. View program listings and edit your scheduled recordings on the go
2. View previously recorded shows
3. STREAM LIVE TV anywhere you are connected to a wifi network.

The thing uses Nat-PMP or UPnP to automatically punch through your firewall, and uses an external service hosted by EyeTV to allow you to connect to your home machine from anywhere without memorizing IP addresses or hostnames.

I think, but I haven't tested yet, that you will also be able to throw the video-out cable into the iPod and stream your live TV to a larger TV, because the iPod treats the video stream as a movie.

The video quality is staggeringly good - nice crisp h.264. It's also supposed to degrade gracefully using the new features built into iPhone OS 3.0 - I will test this when I'm out and about tommorow.

All in all, probably one of the most compelling demonstrations of what is possible with the iPhone that I have seen to date.

My apologies for the rapid fire questions: Can you give me a general idea of how it works in calgary? Do you use it through shaw? Do you need a digital box? Do you mind if I ask what your monthly tv cost is?

I love my pvr, but I find it increasingly annoying that I can't take my shows on the go with me in digital format on my iphone or give to my wife on her ipod touch. This is an intriguing option.

The app you want is called "Fstream" it's free, and works for any online radio station. Tricky part is finding the exact URL to the stream.

Once the app is installed, add a new favorite. You can name it whatever you want, and only need the URL. Don't worry about the bitrate, etc.

Hmm I see how that app works, but that url doesn't seem to work for the fan.
I press play and it stays disconected.
