Not to be a debbie downer, but it's SportChek. They're just about as bad as not getting your skates sharpened period.

Yup, if it was PSS whole different story... SportCheck and Crappy Tire are the worst

I have never had a problem with them. I have switched over to the new one in Shawnessy as it is right across the road from where I play shinny anyways. Besides its not like we are elite players

Haha well I certainly like to think I am ...I dunno, I've never seemed to have a good experience with them haha. I'm on my skates tonnes, and I can most definitely tell the difference between a good and a bad sharpening.

There's only one place I trust to do my skates in Calgary, and that's Tuxedo Sports on 16th. Best places I've ever had my skates done though are both in Camrose at Sids (he sharpens out of his garage) and at hockey Life.

I agree, sport chek's sharpenings are terrible, one game and they are dull again

I'll go today, why not? It's right beside my house. I'm no pro but if they are terrible you don't lose anything but a few minutes because you can take them and pay for them to be sharpened.

Someone forgot to tell SportCheck that skate sharpening is a 4-year degree in Canada.
