Hey,

Are we going to start the league with the soon to be coming roster update? I've mentioned it already but the teams set with the roster update at the start of the real season are always much better done than the preseason 'sort of, might be' team

I think we have about 17 people right now, but since most people are going to start or have already started, I have changed the rules since the league officially starts tomorrow. I will message everyone tonight (or try) about signing up, and the deadline will be Sunday at midnight, and if they haven't signed up by then (unless your xbox is broken), it will be a free for all, and who ever wants in (regardless of waitlist) is in. But we'll do a draw for teams, for fairness to the people who picked last (like Atlanta) and are stuck with them.

No, just since we need like 13 to fill it and no one is signing up on their own, we will do "who ever wants in, is in".

Or do people feel this is too unfair, and we just keep it to the original user list, and the league just be like 20 people big. I'm fine with either.

Maybe a fresh league now that rosters are "real" (as TSX suggested) and whoever is already an active member of the league can keep their team or switch to a "vacant" one. After that, open the flood gates to the waiting list to fill out the league and we're running.

I would be okay with that, I dont know when I could sign up for a new league though as I dont know when NHL will be back in my possesion.

Are the rosters "real" yet? Last time I checked I still had Kessel (I'm Boston) and shouldn't. Do we want to keep this league just for practice right now, then when the new roster update comes out (which should be within the next few days of NHL season start) we make the new league? I think that would be best.

I agree with the vacant team idea as well. I think that it would be best if we DIDN'T make this a 30 team league for the following reasons, a) out of the original 30 who wanted in, only 17-18 actually signed up, and it has been up for over a week now, so that alone shows the commitment some people have, if they can't even sign up, I don't think they'll playing 87 games in the season. Unless your xbox/nhl disc is broken there should be no excuse. If we can get 20 people I think we'll be super, but it'd be nice to get the 30, I'll ask my friend if he wants in as well (he is on our CP EASHL team), and I'll ask the fellow CP EASHL team members if they want in (those who aren't part of CP).

And I have changed my mind, everyone from Boston is up for grabs except Lucic.

Has anyone got an idea whether you can trade prospects for NHL players? Then we'll be able to do 3 for 1 trades. Trade main player for 1 player, then 2 scrubs (AHL players) for the other 2 NHL players that were part of the 3-1 trade. I am pretty sure this ISN'T possible, but it'd be nice to know. Or if anyone has any other ideas on how we can do these big trades, please post your ideas.

I can't access my AHL roster, I don't think it exists in this "mode."

There are still a handful of people who said they were away the next few weeks. It'd be pretty crappy for them to come back from holidays or whatever and find we've booted them out.

I for one don't mind playing in 2 leagues. If we want to start a new one, great. We can play in both. If one gets stale, close it down.
