I remember watching episodes where he was wearing Flames hats. My dad always made a big deal out of it.

IIRC he came to Calgary and was part of a Flames Alumni softball game @ Renfrew Athletic Park sometime in the early 90's that my dad took me to. I can't remember much of the details regarding it, so I may have been mistaken, but I am pretty sure it was related to the Canons and I think he did a thing at one of their games as well.

If anyone remembers more exact details than this, or thinks I am mixing up details from my youth, I would love to hear it.

I thought of using white text, so I switched it. I'm actually kinda curious now.

Okay, now I am lost.

Kayser Soze played for the Flames on a line with MacGyver, during the time Richard Dean Anderson was coach and Kevin Spacey was GM?

Puuh--Leeezzzz!!!,,,

Do you no nothing?

Kayser Soze was the alias of Steve Austin, a.k.a Willie Plett, who posed as Richard Dean Anderson in the first season of MacGyver. The second Season showcased Joel Otto as the "fake MacGyver" who turned out to be Patrick Duffy posing as Phil Russell who was actually disguised as Eddy Beers! Thanks to the fantastic talents of "Bear-Cat" Murray, Richard Dean Andersion was able to reprise his role just in time for the last episode of season 3.

Maybe in reference to InCoNeTo's thread I put forward the following thoughts. Oh, and before I do so, a tidbit from the past. I made this sig for him years ago when we had a thread to make sigs for other people.

Was a fun thread, and part of CP lore from days gone by.... anyhoo....

Every post/poster can fall into a category within our solar system based on the following:

The Sun – This is the soul of CalgaryPuck. It flares sometimes but subsides at other times depending on the nature of the Flames. Ultimately, all energy from this forum comes from the soul itself.

Mercury – So hot no one lasts long. They usually go through a spontaneous combustion like Fleurymaniac.

Venus – Ahh, the planet of love. Those living there can only be contacted remotely and it costs a lot. I.E. missdpuck,

Earth – This is where the general CP poster resides, but even then they can be bipolar, change like the climate, or are generally as unpredictable as the weather forecast.

Mars –RED in nature and appearance but really are nothing like Earth. Those living there definitely need more oxygen. A great (extinct) example is MainFlame.

Jupiter – Clearly the home of the Fat Fata, be that Marc Savard, or any other topic/post that has been reiterated so often that it has grown into the mass of all masses within the system other than the Sun itself. Jupiter takes up the majority of posters and comments.

Saturn – With multiple rings that are incredibly old but no other significant attributes other than being sold off by GM (KLown?), this is clearly Oilers territory.

Uranus – This is obviously Fotze’s exclusive territory. He is the only inhabitant although Locke really, really wants to live there. Careful picking up the soap in the shower, fotze. Locke lurks and is prepared for your death… by mumba jumba.

Neptune – The home of the fishermen who do nothing but bait and lour for their catch based on the Roman God of the Sea. The_Only_Turek_Fan is King of this planet, but Reggie Dunlop does all the work.

*Pluto – OK, so this really isn’t a planet anymore so one must consider this the ultimate sin bin where people go into an icy void of nothingness and in general are not even considered any more other than in passing.

The Moon – A surprising amount of posters live on this rock. They think they shine in the Earth’s sky but don’t understand how gravity works. They (the Mooners) think they can Moon all Earth people repeatedly with sarcastic and/or dumb posts but they can only stay in the limelight for a short time. Moon cycles are pretty consistant. Beware the full Moon.

__________

So yes stormchaser, I would say that a "large percentage" is involved and it clearly points to Jupiter. Old... Fat... Fata.

Ah, don't worry about it, Papi. This thread pops up once a year and always garners the same reaction. It's sorta like last year when the Flames picked up Bertuzzi and we all knew it because of CP, and then for the next 3 weeks, everyone you knew was coming along and saying "Hey, did you hear we signed Bertuzzi?".

If I remember correctly Richard was a fan of the Flames because he was buddies with Joel Otto. Grew up together or something.

No matter how you shake having Mac as a fan of the Flames is cool!
