I guess it's a rueben sandwich. Rye bread, either pastrami or corned beef, sauerkraut, and cheddar cheese, grilled in a frying pan.

My favorite sandwich of all time is still the classic Tomato Sandwich.
This is how I make it.
2 slices of toasted bread
butter both sides
Cut 2 tomatos
Olive oil
salt and pepper
Fresh onion
2-3 pieces of either calabrese, capicola, or prosciutto, and for optimum flavour any of these pieces must be "heated' in a frying pan.
Another sandwich that used to be good from my college days. Mostly due to the fact it took practically no time to make is.
2 pieces of toasted bread
butter
baloney
cut up dill pickels.
mustard
cracker barrel cheese.
Fresh french Baguette
Little Bit of Mayo
Tomato
Sopressata
Sandwich Style Pepperoni
Buffalo Turkey Breast
Provolone
Swiss
Grilled Until the cheese is melted, the bread is toasty, and the meat is warm.
I hate the spice or whatever it is in that meat (I realize I am the only person on earth like that) but it tastes like the meat has been marinating in ######bag vinegar. Maybe it was beign forced to eat that Carl Buddig meat as a kid.
Ba ha. Carl Buddig meat -- I went through a few packs of that myself. I loved it. They still sell it at Safeway but they don't have just plain "beef" anymore. They have corned beef and roast beef, but not beef. Beef was the best one. No smoking or corning or anything fancy, just beef.
I could go for a few Premium Plus/cheddar/beef sandwiches right now.
I may eat other sandwiches, but I always come back to olive and cream cheese. Best served on a whole wheat kaiser bun. Sliced green olives (with pimento) and plain cream cheese is the only way to have it. I know very few others who have ever eaten one.
