It sucks having to watch it on 5 different channels when there are other good games (and defenses) playing.

I was screaming for at least 5 minutes straight after seeing that unreal throw and catch by Favre and Lewis. I will never speak ill of Greg Lewis again in my life....
Found out the game was on TV with 45 seconds left....stupid Shaw schedule not being accurate.

Well, now we will see what sort of character this team has. Do they regress like they did the last time they started 2-0 (and then went 0-8) or do they take their anger out on the Rams next week?
|
The problem is when the 49ers blitzed heavy, Farve picked them apart.
I think with Singletary as the coach, the Rams are going to be in for a world of hurt... especially if Gore gets back healthy.

I'm not sure if Brees is a little off-kilter, or if the Bills have stepped up on D. Perhaps a bit of both.

Or it's just Drew Brees on the road against a good defense

This. The Bills D is looking good, they're all over the Saints receivers. I've felt weird about this game all week, perfect letdown game(actually I hate to say it but I picked the Bills to win this week in the Pick Em league). N.O.'s had a couple nice drives into Bills territory that have been killed because of turnovers.
One thing I am impressed about, however, is the play of the Saints D. The DL finally looks great. You can tell Gregg Williams badly wants to beat his former team, he's calling blitzes from all over the field. If it wasn't for a nice fake FG for a TD by the Bills, the Saints could still be pitchin the shut-out. Lee Evans and T.O. with a combined 0 catches in the first half.

It wasn't on until then, they switched to that game at the last minute once the Jets game was over

It looks like the Raider has started to rub off on Richard Seymour already. Classy move there.

I was able to watch the whole thing off the Global Winnipeg affiliate.
Satellite FTW(prevent defense FML)

I tried to watch a bit of the Vikings and Niners but it wasn't in HD. After 5 minutes I couldn't believe that I used to watch football that wasn't in HD.

Man, friggin Chargers need to learn how to score from the red zone. All these awesome long plays to get down there but can't get the ball into the endzone after the fact.

There is nothing more painful then being a dolphins fan the last decade. Well maybe being lions fan, but right now it feels awfully close.
At least hockey starts Thursday.

The best Saints defensive performance in ages today, the blitz packages Williams has implemented are awesome. Brees played well, didn't force anything with that wicked wind. The Bills secondary covered well, but the Saints O line took the game over in the fourth. Great win, the Saints would have lost this game last season.

Agreed, which is probably why I picked them to lose in a trap game this week. I guess I'm still not 100% used to them being this complete. Awesome to see PT get back in gear today, I was starting to worry about him. Dude's an animal!
Game of the Week next week: Jets @ Saints. Can't wait, 3-0 babayy!!

Thomas didn't even have a carry in the first half, and the Saints held Owens without a catch breaking his 185 game streak.

That was awesome seeing T.O. sitting there shaking his head on the sidelines. No way does that happen to him against the Saints last year. One last thing I wanted to mention about the game was the play of Malcolm Jenkins on ST. He seems to make a big play back there every game. I love his intensity, he's always just flying around out there.

This will be awesome. It's definitely the most exciting matchup so far this season. Whoever wins will almost certainly be #1 in most power rankings.
