The difference is that Hochuli made one terrible call. Glenn Johnson and his crew made five terrible calls. What you can't dispute is that the CFL is awful at holding officials accountable for their errors.

One the defender grabbed his leg while Lewis is down, the play is dead.
Had the B.C defender not contacted him while on the ground it would have been just cause for a Fumble/Int.
But that didn't happen now did it.

Besides that play was in the 3rd quarter when it was 17-13. Final score was 27-18 with a quarter in a half left to play so what is B.C's excuses for the rest of the game. Weak.
Somewhere Montreal is saying how does that feel B.C you thieves.
Take your Stamps colored glasses off. The game was ruined by terrible officiating. As far as the Allouettes/Lions game goes, B.C. didn't steal that game. Before the officiating error which wiped out Montreal's touchdown, Brent Johnson was tackled down by Luc Brodeur-Jourdain. It was a obvious holding penalty that was never called. So if the officials didn't miss the obvious penalty, the touchdown wouldn't have counted anyway.

My thoughts on the Lewis catch a day later.

In the CFL rules, I think it was correctly ruled a catch, as one foot down is all that is required. The CFL has, on many plays in the past, ruled that possession is when one foot has come down. Say on fumbles after a catch, stuff like that, the CFL has always ruled that possession has come early.

In the NFL, there's no way that's a catch under the rules. Two feet would have to be down, plus the NFL has called that tougher.

I'm not going to say that it was definitely the right call, but I think it's consistent with how the CFL has been calling plays of questionable possession the last couple of years.

Poor reffing? I don't think so.

I think you nailed it! That is so true all the player need is to touch one foot(toe, or heel). In Lewis catch's case, he put his left foot down then a BC player touched him, then his elbow hit the ground and jarred the ball loose. So, it is definitely the right call.. down by contact.

That was a good call so as teh Copeland call and the Bryant call as well. I didn't think the reffing was as bad as the other calls it.

They were certainly close enough that is was sweet they all went our way. I know if it had gone against the Stamps I would have been cheezed off bigtime. Mainly because the passing attack was so mediocre they needed every catch they could get. Burris seems to have gone into a slump. Earlier in the year if he rolled out or scrambled he was money. Now he is horrid throwing on the run or under pressure. Two games in a row where he was unimpressive. Thank goodness he can run with the ball and that Joffrey is looking as good/better than ever.
