Default Center Ice help

Hey all. I'm all the way out in Virginia and am a lifelong Flames fan. My local cable provider (Cox) claims to offer Center Ice, but have not activated it to order yet because it is still listed as out of season. I really need to get this sucker ordered by the start of the season. Anybody have any information I am missing out on? Information on this package seems hard to track down and I'm getting really frustrated. Thanks!

Once its available, you should be able to order it and have it immediately. I'm sure they'll start selling it in the next week or so.

If you really want to purchase it now, consider switching to DirecTv. They'll let you purchase now and they have more channels set aside for Center Ice than most cable companies.

I'm not sure about in the states, but in Canada there's usually a free preview of Centre Ice for the first week or two. More than likely they'll do the same there, thus the need to order immediately is negated.

Centre Ice is truely awesome. Wish I could get it here. Well worth the investment.

I've ordered Center Ice (Time Warner) but it's not activated yet either....which is pretty much the norm until the season starts.

Same thing going on here in California with Comcast. They've got all the channels lined up, but have yet to actually activate Center Ice.

Hopefully they do so sooner than later.

Yep, moved over to the dark side, haha.

Started at UNB Law, and I haven't stopped reading since the first day of classes.

That said, if I get the chance some weekend to head up to catch and Eagles game in Saint John I'll let you know.

I've heard that some of the cable providers don't provide enough channels to show all of the games.

I have DirecTV so that isn't an issue, but not getting the Canadian broadcasts in HD is my biggest gripe. Every year they say they're close to an agreement, and every year they end up waiving a portion of my fees because I can't see my teams broadcast in HD.

^^^ Yes! Some of the games seem downright blurry! I wish they would fix that. I don't really understand why all games can't be broadcast in HD if they're being shot in HD.

There in lied my conflict last year. I hated watching the Flames when they were on SportsNet because I didn't get the game in HD. And HD downgraded, then upscaled to fit an HD TV is just God aweful!

However my second gripe is that I hate watching the Flames on TSN/CBC when I purchased Centre Ice as I'd be getting those games for free anyway! But I would get to see them in HD.

I lived with it thinking that at least I get to see the games. Really that's the important thing.
