Ugghh... I'll say it again, I can't believe that Jane Lynch left Party Down for this. She is the only redeeming quality of this stinker. I can not understand why Fox is pushing this show so hard. It's not even trashy, easy to consume entertainment.
While I am not gay for musical numbers, they don't bother me but the god awful lip synching, fake instrument playing gives me goose bumps because I am so embarrassed and uncomfortable. They don't even try to appear to be singing or playing.
They all but ruined Bel Biv Devoe for me and Gold Digger.
The main girl's Broadway acting style comes off as overacting on TV, the black girl sounds like she's reading cue cards, I wanna punch they gay kid in the throat and Finn has the personality of a pile of rocks. The teachers are okay save the main guy but their scenes are so choppy and disjointed. The other schools glee club are all about 29.
It's so bad, the wife changed channel to baseball.
I would rather watch Breaker High back to back for a week.

I enjoyed it. Any show that breaks out acapella versions of Bel Biv Devoe, Color Me Badd and Montell Jordan is alright in my books.

Ah, no I won't be watching anymore. Sorry, I didn't know this was the Talk about how good Glee is thread. I gave it a shot and watched 3 episodes because I figured that Fox is known for some fresh programming from time to time and I am a Jane Lynch fan. I was wondering if this show would catch it's stride but the problems that plagued the pilot have continued into ep2 & 3. I thought I was missing something...
I apologize for my opinion.

Glee is my new guilty pleasure show. It is fun and laced with pretty heavy irony and fun music. Its not a show that I will be angry if I miss or it gets cancel but it is good way to spend an hour.

Had to watch it with the old lady.. it was alright until last episode when the fat black girl threw a rock through a window and then sang a stupid song about it.. what a lame ass show. Although its nice that the cheer leaders where the same outfit alllllllll the time

Tonight they are featuring the music of Queen!! - Well that was wrong, don't believe everything I read on the internet I guess.
Hope it's a good one.
Thought it was pretty funny however.

I hope it's a good one too. I was pretty disapointed with episode 3 as well... so I need another good one or else I might be deleting this from the PVR record list. I loved the first episode so much too...

This episode was ABOUT a queen, maybe that's what it meant? lol
It's the damn music coming in and out of commercial breaks that drives me nuts. It's so intense and hyper active! Meh, I'll watch it for the heck of it, might get better who knows. It's easy enough to watch on PVR or delete, time will tell.

Thought tonight was pretty good - loved Kirk's storylines the past couple shows...am getting tired of the dark haired diva tho, she can sing like nuts but she is not a character I'm enjoying even a little.

I think she's becoming much like the Dawson character from Dawson's Creek--the show was about him, but by the end of like, the third season, I wanted to punch him in the face.
And shut up, I loved Dawson's Creek. No one ever mistook me for an entertainment critic.

Next week, I think. I almost blew a gasget when I saw the clip of Mercedes singing "Somebody To Love". That is gonna rock SO HARD.
ETA: I mentioned this to a friend tonight, but the feel of the show seemed kind of "tonight, on a very special episode of Glee.." tonight.
I'll admit I was a pretty big critic of the show it's first two episodes, but now that I'm used to the characters and the pace of the episodes, I love it. And as for the lip-syncing, you also have to realize that this isn't a movie; they don't have the time to keep doing things like that over and over again until it's absolutely perfect. Also, I can live with the lip-syncing when I know it was actually the cast members that did the recordings.

I also loved the end! (spoiler in white) When Kirk came out to his father and rather than flying off the handle, as you'd expect from the way it was set up at the beginning - his dad just said he knew because Kirk had asked for sensible heels for his bday when he was 3. That was so cute and emotional too!
And I love that Mr. Shoe didn't cave to the diva chick and let her have the song in the end, should be interesting to see what happens next show.

Just to clarify for everyone, it's "Kurt"; not "Kirk"
It almost seems like they're trying to make Rachel storming out of rehearsal a running joke/gag, but it isn't really working that way; it just gets annoying. Or, like Artie (guy in the wheelchair) said: "It gets less and less effective every time she does that.."

The football team dancing like Beyonce and her dancers in her video was great. Also, like someone else said, Kurts dance up to the football was priceless.
