Default Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 7

I don't know how many people watch this show, but its one of my all-time favs, and season 7 just started last night so I thought it deserves its own thread. Did anybody watch it? Hilarious!! That's easily the best season opener they've ever had. Haha I love Jeff, that's hilarious that he bangs Arty's crazy sister. And poor Larry at the end, gettin hosed like always.

This episode definitely shaped the makings of what looks to be a priceless season. I heart Larry. There's seriously no-one in Hollywood that I'd rather want to meet.

One of the best shows out there for sure. I watched all the previous seasons this summer, and it was a pretty good kick off for the season last night. I'm sure the Seinfeld cast will add a lot to this season. Glad to see the Blacks are back too.

I was almost positive Larry was hearing things. And then it clips to the car where Jeff has no shame. Hilarious.

Leon is also one of my favorite characters on TV. His speech from Pootie Tang is one of my favorite movie speeches.

I love how they set up the reasons for the Seinfeld reunion last night. And I can't wait..

"F*** me fat-boy!"

I guess Larry is going to get a Seinfeld reunion going so he can get back Cheryl.

Haha that first clip you posted, Barnes, with LD and Jerry, its like two Larry's talking to each other. Beauty! SO pumped for the Seinfeld reunion on there, my favourite all-time show.

And haha ya I agree with whoever said it in here that I totally thought Larry was just hearing things too. I thought he'd open the door and she'd be trying to lift him or something stupid like that.

Could someone pick up Curb Your Enthusiasm in the middle of its run (i.e., start watching episode 1 of season 7) or do you have to go back and start from the beginning to understand what's going on?

Even if you're not a fan of Curb, but loved Seinfeld, here's a reason to watch season 7 right here:

Not really. I would say starting in the middle of a season might cause some problems (for the rest of the season) but you wouldn't be too lost going out of order. It's kinda like Seinfeld - you may not get some jokes, but each episode has a main theme that is concluded in that episode with a common arch across the season.

Anyways, get into it - my favorite comedy on TV now.

^ it would be useful to know the back story behind why he's separated from his wife and some of his relationships with Jeff and Suzy etc. however, this season is probably easy to pick up. The show is very episodic but with somewhat of an arc over the series and each season.

By now you'll probably be a little confused, but I'm sure you could still pick it up. Especially this season with all the Seinfeld stuff. Haha I'll just tell you this though: it takes a few episodes to really get into the show. I remember the first couple times watching it I didn't overly like it. Haha there's just so much arguing, you're almost frustrated for Larry, and of the dumb things he says.

But by about my 5th episode I was hooked. It's one of those shows I could sit down and watch an entire season of in one sitting. I can't enough of the LD!

Yeah, you're right it does perhaps take a few episodes to get used to what a sociopath Larry David's character is. You can definitely see how George Costanza is loosely based on him. It's kind of like David Brent from the british Office. LD like David Brent does a lot of things that make you want to cringe out of discomfort, but man is it hilarious.

The sort of realist, semi-ad libbed style of the show really makes it all work so well. Definitely one of the top few comedies of all time.

Haha oh definitely. Larry's like George Costanza but with Jerry Seinfeld's sarcasm. Curb actually has a bit of a Seinfeld'ey vibe. Actually vibe's probably even too strong a word. But it definitely has Seinfeld elements to it. Larry always gets screwed around like George did. That's why I love the season finales so much in Curb; its the one episode where everything finally works out for him.(save for the season 5 finale)

This show is awesome. Can't wait to watch it tonight (have it PVR-ed).

When does Seinfeld enter the show? I thought it would've been last night at the season premiere.

I have a bone to pick with HBO. The station obviously makes awesome TV shows, but the way they run their schedule it's impossible to figure out when the NEW episode is on.

But it doesn't matter, if you miss entourage on sunday you can catch it about 50 times before the next new one airs.

I watched it and Loved it!

Leon kills me!

...Funny though, I don't recall Larry hooking up with one of the blacks, when the last episode aired a few years ago.

Did I miss something or are we supposed to assume that they got together since the last show?
