Default Skype compatible phones?

Has anyone used Skype with an actual Skype compatible phone?

I want to upgrade my existing headset into a phone (wired or wireless) just like a land-line.

Thanks.

I was in the UK and the people I stayed with had one. Worked great for both Skype as well as their home phone line. I wanted to get one for myself over there, but was told it might not be compatible with the technology in the USA.

I'm looking for one as well

If you have constant wifi access might as well just get the iPod Touch as well which can call over skype as well and save yourself the monthly fee. A guy I work with uses that approach.

Ya that wouldn't be too bad of an idea if you were in the market (obviously I don't know what a skype dedicated phone goes for). If you were in the market for a new iPod or a PDA type device already it may be something to look into.

What would be the advantage? I know there is a charge to call a land line, I'm guessing it's minimal?
