Default Want 29 free songs from iTunes?

Quote:
Becoming a “fan” of iTunes Canada on Facebook gives you a few goodies, such as occasional free music and TV shows, updates on the latest content, tips and tricks, Canadian charts and the ability to search (and share) your favourite iTunes picks.

For a limited time, though, Apple Canada is throwing in 29 (mostly Canadian) songs to download to your PC or Mac. Not a bad marketing ploy (er, I fell for it).

List of songs here:
http://www.sync-blog.com/sync/2009/0...om-itunes.html

I feel old, I don't know who half of these people are and I like even less than that. But meh, it's free. Couple good ones.

Edit: For Canadian residents only.

Is Amanda Blank Canadian?
I have a crush on that girl. Although I don't really find her attractive.

I'm totally bumping this because no one should ever miss out on legitimate free music.

Thanks for the link. Downloading now.

That's actually a good list of bands. I am a big advocate of Canadian music. I think that a lot of people's impressions of "Canadian" music are tainted by mainstream radio's insistence of playing 1990's Can-Con to meet their quota. But I digress.

They're downloading as m4a files, which is an AAC format but isn't one of the infamous m4p DRM-laden files.

Not sure what Zune can play, but since they're not DRM'd, you could even convert them to MP3 or similar if you wanted to.

Not surpsingly, and just for clarification for those wondering, this offer is not available for non-Canadian residents.

These offers are currently for Canada iTunes Fans only

BTW, here's the direct link for the dose.ca offer.
http://www.dose.ca/music/mix/download.html

As far as I can tell, there is no stipulation that you must be Cnd.

He's a great, hard working musician. Definitely recommend checking out a live show of his.

Had never heard of Michael Bernard Fitzgerald before this thread. Spent the last little while listening to some of his work on youtube. Consider me a new fan, "Care for You" and "Suzie" in particular really impressed me. Very "simple" songs but just superb nonetheless. I'll definitely be spreading the word about this great musician.

Awesome thread.
