Good Restaurants/Things to do in Toronto?
Believe it or not, heckling Leafs fans only is fun for a finite period of time!
I'm going to Toronto for the weekend, and if anyone knows of cool places to check out, and good restaurants (preferably downtown), please let me know! I should mention that I have already been to the HHOF and CN Tower.
Thanks CP!

You can check out Wayne Gretzky's restaurant. Food is pretty good.
I was there this spring and saw hockey superstar Bryan Marchment!

What kind of restaurants do you like? There are a ridiculous number and kind to choose from.
Are you into Museums etc.? The Royal Ontario Museum is excellent. If you like theatre, that's good too. I know someone who is performing at Second City right now, that show has been getting good reviews.

I love all kinds of food! I would prefer non-fine dining, as I am on a budget.

If you like wings, I suggest you go to Duff's on Bayview, 3 - 4 blocks south of Eglington...

Take a walk along Bloor and the Danforth if you want. Start around St. George on Bloor (near the ROM), and go west by Spadina and Bathurst, etc. Interesting shops and restaurants there. Also, Queen West is my favorite part of the city, so you could check that out, too. Kensington Market is also a must if you're into street shops.
Ride the subway and explore... The city is big but easy to get around in. Lots of interesting little sections like Little Italy, Little India, Roncesvalles area, China Town etc.

The Drake Hotel and the various restaurants and clubs attached to it are a pretty cool time.

There's a world-class comedy club called the Air Canada Center. They have 41 shows per year featuring #1 comedian Ron Wilson.

If you like beer, then you NEED to find a place called Bier Martk.
There are two, one on the Esplanade, it's not too far from the ACC (walking distance for sure).
They have something like 100 different beers, probably half or more on tap, and they've got proper/specific glasses for each beer. That's the place I ordered a $50 beer....it was okay!
If you like trying new beers and really good food, then you should go.
If you don't like those things, then go to hell.

Two suggestions for Bier Market! I will check it out! Your other suggestions sound good too, everybody!
Keep 'em coming!

Panorama Lounge on Bloor and Bay is cool. It's a lounge on the top floor with nice views of downtown TO but with expensive coffee/drinks. It's nice to hang out though and is kind of a swankier, more well dressed type of place.
For restrauants, Casa Da Ramboia on Dundas is great. It's Portuguese and really good and not too expensive. It's by Dundas and Ossington in that Brazilian/Portuguese district. It's not high end but rather just really good food.
Rain forest cafe? Half jokingly/half serious.
It's fun to rag on Toronto culturally but it really is a cool, vibrant city with great restaurants.

The Brownstone, 603 Yonge Street. Kind of a cool little place, really good breakfast, but a little more mid-price, check out the menu online if you want to have a look at the prices etc.
