Moustaches as Intelligence Indicators: Yay or Nay?
Is it fair to say that in general men under 45 that sport moustaches would be less intelligent than average? I just don't see smart young dudes with moustaches ever. They are kind of a white trash thing as far as I can tell, but maybe there are exceptions.
Stampede 'staches are, of course, exempt. As are handlebar moustaches that you might sport for seven days or less just to make your friends laugh. (I'm guilty of both )
I'm open to having my prejudice swayed on this one.

Isn't that kinda like saying "I just dont' see smart young men sporting bell-bottom jeans anymore" is it safe to say that bell-bottom jean wearing men are of below average intelligence?

I actually don't understand what you are trying to say here. Do you by chance sport a moustache?
JK!!
But seriously, I don't get it.

I think people with beards are hiding something from the rest of us.

What I'm saying is that it's more a "the style of the time" thing than anything else.

Bell bottoms were in style for like 10 years. Moustaches have been around for hundreds or maybe even thousands of years. People today, in Calgary, are walking around sporting them right now as we type.

That doesn't mean that there can't be time periods where they are more popular. This reads just like a classic DESS thread I might add.

Yeah, a double-chin.
To answer the OP's question. A moustache isn't an indicator of below average intelligence unless it's accompanied with a mullet.

The moustache as it's worn now is more a hipster accessory than anything else. Not really an indicator of intelligence, but more of a lame-revival-attempt-turned-quickly-passing-fad like coke bottle glasses, suspenders, mullets (Edmonton notwithstanding), and fluorescent clothing (again, Edmonton notwithstanding) which were legitimately fashionable and had their hey-day in the 1980s.
I find in most cases that guys with moustaches really have nothing important to offer other than "Hey, look at my moustache."
Maybe I'm just jealous that I can't grow one. I'd show 'em all how to wear a moustache right.
Coke bottle glasses are still cool sometimes, though.

Some of the smartest people I know that are 20-30 have some wicked staches. Some aren't necessarily a fashion statement but it's not fair to say mustaches are a intelligence indicator.

Are natural blondes dumber than bleached-blondes? Just trying to see where I fit in.

That's not the question you should ask... The question should be "Are natural blondes hotter than bleached blondes?"

I'd say they're more an indicator of sexual orientation, than of intelligence.

Why do cops always seem to have mustaches?
I swear it's part of the uniform.
