So I am downtown right now, haven't preordered the game or anything. Can I assume the HMV DT location will have lots of copies of this or should I be waiting outside for them to open? Anyone else downtown?

Well a real hardcore fan like me doesn't spend 2-3 weeks tinkering with settings so I can get the 'perfect feel'. I go to the rink to play some real hockey... as a real hardcore fan. Most people who play stay home on their couches and plays NHL 10. Not me. I know a lot of diehard fans of the sport too, and they're the same way.

Does anyone know where this game can be purchased downtown? I thought of HMV but according to their website they have never heard of NHL10. Thanks.

8 am EB opening FTW. I wasn't sure I was going to be able to pick it up today, but thankfully the early opening allowed for it. Now i get to hold it and breathe on it until after the Flames game tonight.

Just picked up my copy at the one in TD Square. They have loads of copies and only a few of those are preorders so you should be set.
Now I have to wait another 6 hours before I go home to play it...

Went to EB on 130th as 8:05 and was 8th in line. But I got it, its in my car waiting for 5 o'clock to come around so I can race home and play.
Tonight will be a good night, Flames streaming, NHL 10 on the TV!!

I'm not so sure you can, at least I haven't figured it out... Then again I haven't been tinkering for 2-3 weeks so...
I am kind of confused about the draft order in the "Be a pro mode". San Jose gets the 1st overall pick, Minnesota 2nd, etc. There is no real order to it.

Who says I dont play hockey? Dont assume I dont. And how many of you actually are updating the rosters and adding new rookies like Tavares into the game before actually getting into a game? Theres at least a dozen players on the incorrect team.

Rosters are only current until about the end of July.
They will need to release a roster patch soon, especially if enough guys sign after training camps.
BTW, the Abbotsford Heat jerseys and look were really well done. For some reason I always find it fun to put them up against the Montreal Canadien's dream team - And I'm Peter Vandemeer plastering the holy hell out of Jean Beliveau against the boards. It's beautiful.

I just finished putting in my custom soundtracks and updating my rosters, now putting in Hedman and Tavares...just googling their specs are hgt, wgt, etc. Then its onto dynasty and create plays and adjusting player types for every team. A lot of work to be done!

Instead of waiting a week for updated rosters from EA?
To each his own.

I wont touch a hockey game without updated rosters. It only took 10mins to update everything so not a big deal.

A true diehard hockey fan would have memorized the height and weight of both Hedman and Tavares.

I also will update rosters for a few hours before playing. It's just not right if you don't.
I now have the game, I repeat, I now have the game. I picked it up at HMV in TD square and now Operation: Leave Work Somehow As Soon As Possible has commenced.
