Is your politician a robot too?
So I have 3 questions..
1) Despite moving almost 4 years ago, apparently some list somewhere thinks that I still live in Calgary. Why is this?
2) Why do all the politicians in Glenmore all of a sudden think it's ok to have a robot phone me and extol their virtues?
3) Where did they get my phone #? Wouldn't politicians be expected to obey the do not call list or whatever it is?
(I guess that's 4 questions)
How annoying, if I lived in the Glenmore area the only thing left to do would be to eat my ballot.

Political parties are exempt.
Quote:
Registered charities are still allowed to call for donations, and certain other organizations—such as companies conducting polls or surveys, political parties, and newspapers looking for subscriptions—can also continue to contact you. As well, if you’ve done business with a company in the last 18 months, that company is considered to have a relationship with you and is allowed to call.

How can still call you: https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/cofi-fico-eng
Consumers should understand that registering on the National DNCL will reduce but not eliminate all telemarketing calls. There are certain kinds of telemarketing calls that are exempted from the National DNCL Rules.
The exemptions include telemarketing calls made by, or on behalf of:
- Canadian registered charities;
- Political parties, riding associations and candidates; and
- Newspapers of general circulation for the purpose of soliciting subscriptions.

I wish they were robots. Then they'd have to use logic for their arguments.

And if you got tired of them before their term was up, you could just give them a logical paradox and their heads would explode. At least as long as cartoons, movies, and video games haven't been lying to me.

I love the pause! Thats the way I know it's a telemarketer. If there is a pause I just hang up. Then I don't have to hear any of their spiel. Works like a charm.
