"From a personal point of view, I've spent six years calling Western Hockey League games and, while it's been interesting and exciting, you always want to test yourself against different things that are . . . Whether they're an upgrade or not an upgrade, it's going to be a different challenge calling professional hockey and that's the part I savour."
Hopefully he'll be a good commentator for the Heat. Has anyone ever heard him commentate before?

Big time upgrade over QC's Aaron Roof.

I like to listen to a lot of different junior broadcasts whenever I can. Sheldon's top-notch.

He's a brutal PBP guy. I feel sorry for people that will have to listen to him.

Big time Vancouver Giants fan...and let me put it this way. Giants fans were calling for him to be fired around the mid-point of last season.

At the start of the season he would throw Chilliwack or Bruins into a call. Fair enough, takes time to adjust to a new team and players to call. But when he was still doing it at the end of the season, enough was REALL enough.

Don Hay doesn't have much time for stupid questions in an interview. And you can really hear it in his voice when he is asked stupid questions. More often than not last season Hayzer would have loved to pull the plug mid interview.

So far Morley Scott has taken the PR/Media duties to a level only Dave could hope to achive...and I haven't heard him call a game yet.

I hope to get out to Abby a few times this season to watch JD Watt aggrovate the hell out of the visiting team
