Shoshinge...
Sakaya, the Tathagata on Mount Lanka,
Predicted to the multitudes that in southern India
Nagarjuna, the Mahasattva, would appear in this world
And completely rend the views of being and non-being
He would express the highest Dharma of Mahayana
Attaing the Stage of Joy, he would be reborn in the Land of Peace and Bliss.
He disclosed that the difficylt practices are toilsome, like walking on land,
And urged us to believe that the easy practice is pleasant, like sailing water.
When the continuant Shinjin in Amida Buddha's Original Vow is awakened
In that very instant doe we spontaneously enter the Certainly Assured state.
Uttering only the Tathagata's Name always
We should express our gratitude for the Great Coppassionate Vow.
(Thus Nagarjuna said.)
The meaning of Shinjin is our relationship to Amida Buddha. We live this relationship, live within it. We are constantly renewing and recreating it and, in turn, being recreated by this relationship every day.

The Light of Amida Buddha is infinite because there is nowhere it does not reach and nothing that it does not penetrate, including the darkest depths of our minds and hearts. This light illuminates the nature of the world and helps us recognize the extent of our profound attachment to our own egos and to the real gulf that, in so many ways, separates us from the Buddha.

Gentlemen, we can resurrect him. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's first bionic deity. Jesus Christ will be that savior. We can make him better than he was before. Better, holier, more forgiving.

You guys certainly aren't helping your cause any.
As in you're coming across as a bunch of ######bags.
Just an observation.

It would help if the "god" beleivers would show a little fight...sadly their running away from any debate...typical.

I've contributed I think to this thread in a mostly positive manner, these things tend to get much worse, but the ######bag comment isn't going to steer the thread anywhere but down IMO.

Why should any of us even bother to argue when you and Reggie are polluting this thread with stupid insults?
And yes Thor, as usual you have been very polite.

What exactly is there to debate? I believe in god and you don't. Nothing to debate here.

I think these debates can be interesting, and you can learn something from it, but it doesn't help when someone from either side comes across as being an arrogant ass.

Ridicule is a perfectly legitimate form of debate. The idea in and of itself is being mocked.
May the cleansing power of a ###### bag flush away ignorance!

Its only legitimate when we mock the Oilers.
Otherwise it doesn't really help. Especially in serious discussions like this.
Even if I do appreciate your sense of humor.

I agree. Just because you believe or don't believe in god doesn't make you right. To be honest the non-believers in this thread seem like the kind of people they are complaining about. The people who knock on your door and ask you to change or commit to a religion.
