Huskies giving LSU a game at halftime and are a couple self inflicted wounds from leading.

I tried to submit a post via my phone because I went to my soon to be father-in-laws house to watch the bama game (hes a dean at ua) and when I saw Boomer sooner fell that was sad.

Not sad like hahaha sad but sad like damn that sucks.

I think boomer sooner will be fine though. At least they lost to a to 25 team and they lost early. So they can comeback from this and get a chance at another title. You cant blame this on the red shirt freshmen QB. He probably didn't see squat for reps in practice and he was probably nervous. Dont forget OU is missing a TE (one of the best in the country) too.

But shows you how much Bradford meant to OU. I hope he gets better soon and hope his MRI is neg. Everyone thinks hes gonna be gone atleast 2 weeks and up to 4. I hope its sooner than later. Hes a good QB and its tough to see a team fail like that just because one player.

I Tivo'd the florida game knowint they were going to crush CSU but I wanted to see Brantley play. Hes gonna be a good QB that kid has a cannon. I'm overall happy about the weekend. I'm happy the puppies were sent back to the dog house. Bama won a very good game. and FOOTBALL IS BACK!!!

Was watching the LSU game at a bar in Fall City, WA. Outnumbered big time!

U-Dub made a game out of it in the first half. Congrats to them keeping it under a 20 point margin tonight. They stepped up with their "A" game to play the big dogs.

I'm a fan of the Huskies and hope they start an upward trend sooner rather than later. Locker is a human highlight reel waiting to happen against most opponents.

If the Huskies play the way they did last night and cut out the turnovers, they'll have a pretty decent season. Locker and the offence were relatively solid, just couldn't cope with the size and speed of LSU for four quarters.

OU had a terrible game plan against BYU. Oh well just makes the MWC look stronger.

The ACC will end the opening weekend a collective 5-7...brutal.

And although it was only San Jose St...i think any concerns over USC being able to score should be alleviated. I think they could just run every play the rest of the year and still win 10 games...but Barkely showed pretty good for a true freshman.

Big test in the horseshoe next weekend though.

Kudos to the huskies, an 0-12 team giving LSU a game. Great stuff. It's amazing what a good coach and change of direction can do.

Very curious to see the AP next week. should be interesting.

If the sooners find a was to lose to the bengals...well we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

yep, my point last week about 10 games. they are so deep at both lines and RB that they don't need a dynamic qb, just a simple playbook with simple reads and sc wins 9 games alone. They'll just have to work a bit for the other two.

The ACC might as well leave their bcs membership on the kitchen counter, and the keys in the door.

Cody Hawkins sucks donkey balls. If they don't bench him at halftime I'm thinking we may get to see the head coach fired after one game. Just embarrassing.

Not like the big east has something to be proud about...

Bradford has a Grade 2-3 sprain on his right shoulder. He'll be re-evaluated in a week and Stoops says "It'll be a long process."

Ouch. First game back after winning the Heisman and his team is 0-1, very likely out of National Championship contention, and suffering a significant injury to his golden ticket arm.

Should have gone into the draft.

ugh, dont remind me .... Sooner Nation is still weeping

but I have seen Landry Jones in Practices and He is a capable QB.....Just depends on how he handles the pressure. He has a great arm and good football instincts. Is first showing wasnt great but I will be the first to say , we didnt lose that game because we lost Sammy. There was a whole lot more wrong with our team than Bradford. I believe we would have won if Sam stayed in but hey what can ya do.

Here is hoping 3 or 4 weeks rest will do it . We win all 3 games because he opponents arent the toughest and Sam comes back to beat the Longhorns and run the table so we can play the GAYtors in the title game again

It could just give a BCS Buster a potential shot at the National Championship game.

If BYU runs the table (and that's a big if), they'll have wins over OU, Florida St., TCU, and Utah - 4 teams that probably end up in the top 25 at the end of the year.

If there isn't 2 undefeated BCS teams at the end of the year, BYU's resume looks just as good as almost any 1 loss BCS team, IMO.

For a 1-loss team, it all depends on when the loss occurred. USC has shot itself in the foot the past couple years, not only because they lost to a significantly lesser team (Oregon, Oregon St., Stanford) but because they lost so late in the season. If USC loses after running 8-0 they are hurt significantly more than if they lost to say Ohio State next week (which isn't going to happen). If Texas, USC, Florida all lose in the last 2-3 weeks of the season, things could get very complicated.

Imagine Texas, USC and Florida all with 1 or more losses and Boise State and BYU sitting undefeated at the end of the year. The outcry for a playoff system if both those teams are relegated to an at-large bid (or worse) would be tremendous. BCS Bowl supporters are praying that both those teams trip up or at least one of the traditional powerhouses run the table.

no way in the world that a non bcs school gets into the NC game. Get that out of your mind.

Look at Texas' schedule and then look at BYU's. You could almost argue that BYU's is tougher this year.

There hasn't been a non-BCS resume with the potential resume that BYU could have at the end of this season.

It will probably never, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't. Just because teams play for BCS schools doesn't mean they're automatically better than those in non-BCS conferences. Duke and Virginia just lost to 1-AA teams and yet a non-conference win over those would hold more recognition than one over a good (not great) mid-major like Air Force or Nevada.

I fully agree, but the only argument you'll ever hear is big 12 sched vs. MWC sched. not who is actually on the sched.

Kudos to texas though, holding Louisana-monroe to 20 points...
