Hell yeah I am ready!!!!!!!
Next Sunday it's Jags @ Colts as the main game on TV in that time slot! I can't wait to see how the Colts team this year starts! They need to get off to a good start to make things easier for themselves in the last part of the year. Looking forward to seeing how the defense plays. Freeney/Mathis always play well but the other guys have to step it up. Offensively no Harrison this year so Gonzalez will slot in as the #2 WR and I expect him to have a huge year.
GO COLTS!

All this college football today has my brain thining we get NFL tomorrow. But alas, it is not so!
I think the Broncos might be underrated a bit. That said, their schedule is BRUTAL. I'm still going with 6-10.

I love it Seymour was a beast in the AFC East. The dolphins might be able to run a little easier on the pats now.
Its kind of odd to trade away a player, but bellicheat must see something in his backups that warrants the trade.

It's almost time the NFL take over the Raiders franchise, Seymour is in the last year of his contract and will likely be gone after this season. Unless the Raiders got an extension in place, this move is insane.

What move of the raiders is not insane?

I was surprised to see Bernard Pollard and Ashley Lelie cut yesterday. Lelie had made some big plays in the pre-season, and Pollard used to be a pretty hard hitting safety who was a decent special teams guy. I suppose Matt Cassel can spare about a 1 million for Pollard as he can pretty much thank Pollard for the fact that he got all that guaranteed money and isn't holding a clip board as someones backup.

Well Oakland is going to suck big time again this year so not only do the pats have KC's second rounder (might as well be a late 1st rounder)
and they will have a top ten pick this year.
I kinda wonder how much room oakland has in the cap I mean they have had so many top picks lately and they have to pay those guys big bucks I just wonder if they have any cap room.
Oakland is the edmonton of the NFL.

Chargers Merriman charged?
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4450962
Quote:
" San Diego Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman was arrested Sunday and accused of choking and restraining his girlfriend, reality TV star Tila Tequila, as she tried to leave his Southern California home.Tequila, 27, signed a citizen's arrest warrant, charging Merriman with battery and false imprisonment, San Diego County Sheriff's Lt. Gary Steadman said.
Deputies responded about 3:45 a.m. to Merriman's house in Poway, north of San Diego, after a woman called to say she was choked by the player and physically restrained when she had tried to leave, according to a Sheriff's Department statement.Merriman, 25, was taken into custody."
|
Makes me even more ashamed of my Merriman jersey. I will only wear it now when I want to feel like a bad@ss. I invite you to heckle me on the street if you see me wearing the jersey, at least I can expect it now.
Could a suspension be looming?

Pats got the Chiefs 2009 2nd in that Cassel and Vrabel deal. The pick from the Raiders isn't until 2011. Or in Raider land....3 coaches from now.

Could? It's not a matter of could, it's a matter of for how many games. I love that I can now use "You stay classy San Diego" more often.
