Haha, I think that commercial should win an award for mentioning a phone number the most times in 30 or 60 seconds.
I suspect it's been mentioned, but the latest radio commercial for Simmons Sleep Centre is beyond brutal (the one with the two women discussing their mattresses). It's like the worst take of a horrible high school radio play. Completely uninspired, unfunny, and unlistenable.

The commercial on the fan where the wife says something like "my hubby wubby with his belly welly". Someone seriously needs to be tortured to death for that monstrosity.

That's the one from Calgaryjobshop.com (or something). Normally, they're not that bad, but I agree that particular one is horrible. I don't know what it is with commercials these days where they have little scripted discussions and stuff. Just say what you're selling / offering and be done with it.

Calgaryjobshop, workopolis, Spence, and Bob from accountemps are the worst commercials on radio. Annoyingly consistent and consistently annoying.
And yeah, I agree, what's with these stupid little discussions in commercials nowadays? Or sometimes it's not even a discussion but some kind of 15 second goofball monologue. Like that shaw commercial with the dork that's googling how to be a radio announcer. I want to punch that guy in the face.

That bloody Telus commercial that plays like 10000 times during hockey. The one with the penguin and that song drives me mad! oh yeah, and all Ikea commercials, especially that "start the car" one, so nasty

Just had to unearth this thread because there's a commercial that's driving me up the wall lately. I freaking hate that McDonald's one, where the dad's out with his daughter at McDicks, and he tells her "If you were a boy, who'd be my little girl?" It's to the point where every time it comes on I either have to mute it or change the channel. It doesn't help that they're showing it 10 friggin times a night during the play-offs right now.

Ah, yes. Bad schlocky music and all. At least let the girl glare at her dad for his boneheaded comments. Or have the dad admit that, yes, he would rather have a boy.
Oh, and whether it's been mentioned or not, Jonathan Carroll from ITravel2000.com must have some incriminating evidence regarding his bosses, because he is the dumbest, most spastic man I have ever heard in any ad, ever. I sound more sincere and intelligent after two straight all-nighters.

Making commercials that don't want to make people rip out their brains.... not my forte.
But that is.

Seriously?
Sorry, completely disagree. Maybe it's an age thing or something, but my wife and I think that is most likely the BEST McDonald's commercial ever. Very well done IMO.

The spray n wash guy with the goofy grin on his face, that hangs out in laundramats, pimping his spray n wash to sexy housewives out doing their laundry.
Actually, I kind of like this commercial, because it is over the top hokey.

As much as I also hate those commercials; you have to admit that they work- with respect to making you know exactly what they are selling.
We see all kinds of Superbowl type ads where we can describe how funny or clever it is; but can we remember what they are trying to sell?

I've been seeing this Pizza Hut ad for the crust stuffed with cheese. This guy says jackpot for every awesome add on to a good thing.
Guy looks like such an ass and sounds like one too.

The new Palm Pre commercial bothers me because it's a complete rip-off of a typical iphone commercial, even has the soft crappy indie song. Also, when the guy goes on twitter an types "that's awesome" as his status update I'm reminded of how ######ed some people are with twitter.

- Spence guy needs a direct kick in the balls.
- The MacDonalds commercial that pisses me off lately is the olympic water bottles with the fruity figure skater and the little girl who prances over and asks for an auto for the yummy mommy sitting right behind him.
- Caramilk commercials with the people dressed up as chocolate and caramel, that damn ding a ling a ling song gets stuck in my frig'n head.
