Problem is the smart people on this site just put any Oilerfans on their ignore list.

Troutman also forgot about the Dolphins, a few fins fans in this thread too.

Once the real season gets going we'll hear a few Steelers, Pats, Colts, and Titans fans getting excited.

Ohhhhhh, BURN!!

No surprise that the Vikings are shopping Jackson around, if they were smart, they'd keep 4 QB's on the roster. You know, becuase I don't trust #4 to stick around all season.

See....see the symbolism there....I hate that an inner dillema will make it so tough to cheer for my own team.

Vick being reinstated for week 3 is big news for the Kansas City Chiefs. Since they are the (whoops, almost typed Falcons) Eagles week 3 opponent. A Chiefs fan sending a Tweet to Rich Eisen said it would give the Chiefs an edge since the media will be distracting the Eagles that week.

See Troutman, everything in the NFL is somehow related to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Cowherd was moaning about that being a no brainer trade today, but there's no way the Broncos should trade Marshall for Harris alone. I also agree with your rationale from a Jets perspective.

For those reasons, I still think the best course of action for the Broncos is to pay the kid with some very specific behavior clauses. Given McDaniels' absolutel destruction of the team to this point, though, I'm not sure I can count on that to happen.

IMO this stuff about the Broncos wanting a 1st and a 4th or a 1st and a roster player for Marshall is probably true. What I think they're doing is intentionally pricing themselves waaay over the market so that they don't trade him. "Well Brandon, we tried, now get your ass on the field and play."

Marshall is far to valuable a weapon for this team for them to trade him, along with the precedent it would set following the Cutler fiasco. With the QB's they have, a player like Marshall makes all of them better. He goes nowhere.

Not really watching the seahawks and raiders game but just switched it to the game at the end of half time and they were showing a smiling Aaron Curry. The broadcasters were talking about how good he is going to be. I have no doubt that he is a potentially great player but all i could help but think was how sweet it must be to be a rookie player playing the raiders in preseaon!

Goodell says 2010 is likely to be uncapped.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4443920

Goodell has been a very good commissioner, IMO, but losing the salary cap would be a huge stain on his legacy.

At first I did not want them to draft Curry, and in the first two pre season games he looked mediocre at best. He played really well last night, showed a lot of enthusiasm. Now I'm kind of thinking he's going to turn into a great player, he's been improving each pre season game. Though another thought says don't look too much into last night it was against the Raiders backups. I'll be at the home opener next week so I hope he makes some big plays.

I agree, but I'm not sure there is anything he could have done about it.

Players have a new head of their PA with the passing of Gene Upshaw, there seems to be a schism in the owners ranks, NFL is the biggest sport around right now, and I doubt many of the current players have much of a recollection of the previous lockout.

It almost seems like a perfect storm.

Great article calling out Brandon Marshall's childish and idiotic behavior:

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200...ml?eref=sihpT1

Marshall is either getting bad advice or is a complete idiot. I think it's a little of both. If he plays well this year, despite having a complete plug as a QB, he'll be entering into a cap-free year as a stud WR looking for a new place to play. Didn't think that one through did you Brandon? Take out a big insurance policy in case you get hurt this year and play your bag off.

Pearlman's right. Marshall will eventually whine his way into a trade, probably for about the same return as Cutler (poor) and will end up getting paid. I hope he goes to the Jets or another bottom feeder team but part of me want to see him reunited with Cutler so I can laugh at Broncos fans when they tear up Solider Field.

Weird trend in the NFL this week. Bills fire their offensive coordinator.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4446060

Former Broncos QB Alex Van Pelt to take over.

Van Pelt never played for the Broncos. I believe he was a backup for the Bills.

Final cut lists are starting to leak out and there are some big names.

The Chiefs have cut Zac Thomas. The Raiders cut Jeff Garcia. The Patriots cut Alex Smith and the Saints cut Joey Harrington.

The Steelers cut QB Mike Reilly from Kalispell, my hometown. Hope he catches on somewhere else or gets put on a practice squad.

What? Damn it. Gradkowski isn't going to push Russell. It's getting really really hard to stay a Raiders fan.

I hope GB is all over this one.

The Pack cut Brian Brohm which leaves them with Rodgers and Flynn...and Flynn has a bad wing. Simply cannot go into a season one injury away from pinning your hopes on a hurting/inexperienced guy.

Im also stunned that the Packers cut rookie Tyrell Sutton as a RB and elected to go with 3 FB instead. McCarthy and Thompson have me shaking my head sometimes. Also Ruvell martin was let go...pretty serviceable #3 WR, but that really just goes to the ridiculous depth they have at that position.

I think Sutton is just another one of those guys who impressives everything in training camp and then does nothing in the regualr season. pack ahve gone through a ton of them lately. First it was Ingle Martin, who many pegged as the heir apprante to Favre, not Rodgers. Sakom Gado had everyone excited, and it was Abdul hodge a few years ago. I remember tons of packer fans that actually wanted to trade Nick Barnett because they liked Hodge so much.
Sutton did great against 2 and 3 defense's but only so so against the 1s. He is also not a very good blocker at all so doesn't make great sense as a backup. I'd like to see him get on the PS, but I dont' think its a big deal he was cut.
I'm a little suprised about Martin, but the development of Finley means Martin as the red zone threat is gone and thats really all they kept him for. Swain has a little more versatility so I like that move. Meredith was actualy the bigger suprise for me but I think he'll wind up on the PS.
I don't really agree with the 3 full backs either, but I think they are overcompensating for special teams. Special teams was so bad for them last year they are trying too hard to improve it. I think they also like Johnson's upside too much.
I think Brohm will make the PS as apparantly they shopped him and no team wanted him. I do agree thy need a backup. I'd be ok with Garcia, but I don't think the Pack nor Garcia will be.
