You say load of crap and then basically repeat what I said?
You say Arsenal was inconsistent, I said "Arsenal's youth making a few timely mistakes" and "need to settle the talented youngsters down at the right times".
Isn't that commenting on the same inconsistency?
And I guess you wouldn't like the United sucks part, but that was just in there for fun. (and truth )

Hardly repeating what you said. I said both sides were inconsistent and the result was a matter of a few breaks here and there. You framed it otherwise. United won't win anything this season and Arsenal will continue their trophyless ways if they are unable to make the necessary adjustments. And just how long is Arsenal going to use the "talented youngster" excuse to rationalize their failures?
For the time being, I am going to rationalize United's early season malaise to having to completely restructure their whole attack. For the last few seasons it was basically feeding and deferring to Ronaldo - somebody has to step up this year in order to find success. If nobody can or does, then United might indeed just suck this year and win as much as Arsenal has in the last 4 or 5 years.
And yeah...the midfield has looked dreadful so far

Summary of some of the past 24 hours deadline day deals in the EPL..
Spurs sign Niko Kranjcar from Portsmouth
Everton sign Johnny Heitinga from Atletico Madrid (great signing!)
Sunderland sign Michael Turner from Hull
Burnley sign David Nugent on loan from Portsmouth
Bolton sign Ivan Klasnic on loan from Nantes
Aston Villa sign James Collins from West Ham
Stoke sign Danny Collins from Sunderland
some other big moves didn't appear to happen like Richard Dunne to Villa and David Bentley to Man City, pretty quiet day from the big 4 too.

Yeah I'm really happy to get him, especially for a rumored 6 or 6.5 million, when Hull were valuing him at 12 million a couple days before.

Yes the rumored 6 million would be a steal that's for sure. Sunderland's back end looks better. I no longer believe they will be relegated.

Oh man, best signings of the day!
I'm very upset the Everton have decided to turn down the suck before the Reds get through with them...

Yeah I really like that Klasnic deal for Bolton too, I wonder if he'll be able to turn their fortunes a bit. Also looks like the Richard Dunne to Villa deal is still on, due to be ratified by the FA tomorrow by the looks of it.

I some how missed the Modric injury which at first made me confused at where Kranjar was going to fit, but now that I know it looks like a great signing.
I think that Lennon has been the best player but at times Modric certainly has looked amazing and certainly appears to bring something special to the table.
Finally Spurs seem to be making some smart signings rather than big money moves that would have been cool 2 years ago.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp has completed the signing of Niko Kranjcar from Portsmouth.
And the player has revealed he snubbed the chance to sign for Everton in favour of a move to White Hart Lane.
He told Croatian newspaper Jutarnji List: "This is true. Everton is also a big club but, in the end, the tradition and greatness of Tottenham made the difference.
"I also knew manager Harry Redknapp, and Luka Modric and Vedran Corluka told me great things about the club.''

Jeebus, Harry still likes his former yugoslav players.
I remember hearing an interview (true) with him during his latter (or shortly after his) WestHam days when half the te he said am was from there and they had a particular problem defending corners.
Ball would curl in, goalie would shout "MINE!" Half the team would dive to the ground with their hands on their heads and the opposition would get an easy header into the goal.

Premier League - Chelsea hit with shock transfer ban
Quote:
Chelsea have been banned from registering any new players for the next two transfer windows in a shock move by FIFA after being found guilty of inducing a French teenager to breach his contract with another club.

Are these (this and Eduardo ban) signs of a new kind of reform in football? I wonder if Madrid and City are next with regards to the tampering....

Holy crap so Chelsea can't make any roster changes until January 2011? Wow what a harsh, but deserving penalty. I wonder who gets the wrath of Roman's mafia hitmen for this...

I am really impressed by the knowledgeable soccer fan here on CP. Its not exactly easy to stay caught up on all this stuff all the way over in Canada and I have enjoyed reading your analysis.
Do most of you guys play? and if so for what team?

Get real.
Lee Bowyer is a goon though, I will say that. Some say 'tough tackling' midfielder, no, Mascherano is a 'tough tackling' midfielder, Lee Bowyer is an undisciplined goon.
