Speaking of QB's, Brodie Croyle will lead the way for the Chiefs until the return of Matt Cassell. That's a bit of a surprise to me.

Talk about your sacrificial lamb. Hey Brodie, you get to play against the Ravens defence in week one and pretty much get killed.....because we're hoping Thigpen can get us a win over the Raiders in week 2, and we don't want him beaten up too badly. Hopefully you'll be ready to go when we play the Steelers and we need to throw a live body to the wolves again.

Sorry Dis you guys are not getting David Harris for Brandon Marshall. First of all Marshall is requesting a trade, second Rex Ryan is all about D and Harris and Bart Scott are the keys to our D.

Croyle has the most talent out of the three. He just isn't durable, having injury issues in high school, college, and now in the NFL. Poor gamble by Carl Peterson. Maybe Cassel isn't durable either. Big difference playing behind the Chiefs line than the Patriots.
All this talk of trading Tyler Thigpen seems pretty premature to me. He has proven that he is very durable and can scramble. My hunch is that he will be the only one left standing as early as week 2.

On NFL Radio yesterday they mentioned that Thigpen could at least run for his life and would probably be the best guy to start for the Chiefs against the Ravens. We should be fair and say that it's the right side of that Chiefs line that gets caved in. Waters and Brandon Albert can protect the QB.

Yikes, I didn't realize the Chiefs O-line was that bad. Things could get ugly in the games against the Ravens, Steelers, Eagles, Giants, Cowboys, Redskins, and Jaguars.

Bucs can offensive coordinator Jeff Jagodzinski.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4442178
I did not see this coming. Coach Raheem brought him in and replaced him with Greg Olson who Gruden brought to the team. Tough time to be an offensive coordinator.

Redskins play hardball with fans that lost jobs:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...topnews&sub=AR
Hill is one of 125 season ticket holders who asked to be released from multiyear contracts and were sued by the Redskins in the past five years. The Washington Post interviewed about two dozen of them. Most said that they were victims of the economic downturn, having lost a job or experiencing some other financial hardship.
Many of the sued fans who were interviewed by The Post said that when they requested relief, they were offered settlements that required them to make hefty payments over time.
Among those sued are mortgage brokers, real estate developers, government workers, plumbers, construction contractors, lobbyists, lawyers and several car salesmen.

What are the Redskins to do, you sign a multiyear deal to get the discount, then breach your contract - the reason doesnt matter. If the Redskins allowed this then someone might be able to sue them if he/she wants to get out for whatever reason.
On the flipside - who signs a 10 year ticket contract agreement.

You forgot Eagles, Saints and Vikings. It just happens that the regular posters in these threads cheer for those teams. It seems the Patriots and Cowboys fans don't show up till week 1.

I should start a dedicated Cleveland Browns thread. I'm sure it will be very popular.

You never know. Look how much Chiefs talk is on here. It would be nice to have representation from all the teams.

Vick to be reinstated for week 3.
http://blogs.nfl.com/2009/09/03/vick...ed-for-week-3/
I'm okay with that. I think it's a tad excessive but I doubt he was going to see the field before then anyways.

Excessive? The guy is probably the luckiest person on the face of the earth. How many professions would have banned him forever due to his criminal record?

Hey you forgot about Indy! I've been posting in this thread with updates since the draft.
Speaking of which, Indy has and interesting decision at backup QB. Sorgi has been Manning's right hand man for years as the #2 but Curtis Painter has played well in the preseason. Painter would be claimed on waivers. It really doesn't matter anyways as neither will get to play for the next 5 years on Indy but at this point i'd rather have Painter.
