Living in Victoria, you should know all about how politically diverse the city is. There's a Member of Parliament from each major political party in the Greater Victoria area.

Just because everyone's got a different tattoo while some people prefer heroin over pot or vice versa doesn't make it a province of diverse opinions.

Just because a few thousand people are hooked on drugs, doesn't mean a province of 4.5 million people should be labeled as a drug paradise.

For someone supposedly appreciating the diversity of opinion, you are certainly not endorsing it in this thread.

Or you only like ''diversity of opinion'' when other people share your views?

Proof that druggies have problems counting.

What? I don't have a problem with you or anyone else's opinion. I just happen to disagree with the idea that B.C. is some sort of drug haven.

Actually the point of my original post was that it's somewhat ironic that B.C. politicians have no issue with providing spots for junkies to shoot up, but find it morally reprehensible to hold a UFC event.

I like B.C. a lot actually. I find Victoria to be a little boring and slow at times, and I miss certain things about Calgary, but I don't plan on moving anytime soon.

I think it was some clowns on Vancouver city council who created the safe injection site. While I don't think its right, I know why they did it. Its better to have junkies shooting up indoors rather than out on the street.

I know, and I actually agree with the safe injection sites. I just think the moral outrage to the UFC is ridiculously misplaced and hillarious.

I feel the same way sometimes about Victoria. But I learn to appreciate Victoria alot more after living in some other places.

The outrage over the UFC is small from what I have seen. Dana White said that alot of the PPV buys are from BC so there's no way the vocal minority stops this event.

Calgary and Edmonton will both have UFC shows in the near future.
Vancouver has already accepted it... so they will host before calgary does.

And knowing Dana White if he can, will have toronto host an event before the west does.

Maybe if you did you would relax and not take everything so seriously. Why would you get upset at all over that comment? Wow. You are embarrassing the rest of us from BC who have a sense of humor.

You're probably 'that guy" driving 90 on the nose in the right lane up island, aren't you!
