For those who mention winter tires, she already has those. These will get her to winter, when the winter tires go on.

Hemi, how did you know it was a mazda 3? I never mentioned that.

Update: She knows someone who works at Costco who can get her the same tires for about $110 less, including installation. However, given the poor comments here on the Goodyears I might suggest that she buy their best tires.

That's very cheep, do your research on good tires that come in the right size and then shop around for the best price.
I just had to replace 1 tire on my car and ended up calling about 20 places before I could find one the right size. $400 tire, ended up being on sale for $250 as well.

you said Mazda, and my head filled in the 3, since that seems to be the only Mazda car anyone buys these days

and i'll never understand going for the cheapest option on tires. it's THE most important safety feature on your car since they're the only things that actually touch the road, so in my mind spending the extra few hundred bucks every 5 years is worth it

That sounds like something I'd be interested in. How much did you end up paying... around $1000?

We use TK's Tire & Auto.

Bay 5, 1115 48 Ave SE 287-8473

They know their stuff and I have had no complaints at all from the family and friends that have gone.

I go to Kal Tire for my winter and summer tires also.
If your winters are on rims, they will mount them on and off for free.

Got both sets at Kal Tire.

I know a lot of people hate them, but they've always done a good job for me.
