as far as nhl is concerned i assume there is a way in their awesomely confusing menu structure to get to the menu to setup what music plays at what times?
LOL ... absolutely. I wouldn't be shocked if the process of just finding your music takes 8 or 9 menu advances, and the whole thing will be housed under the heading "Controller Setup".

Its actually quite easy for the 360,
EA gives you different options for every single team, say I wanted to use a custom goal horn I select that option and pick the custom playlist I made for goalsongs and just place it there.
I can host the single file for users to install right now or if you want to wait a couple days i'll be hosting a flames megapack.

Not sure what they play when the Flames get beat, any help
Wow. I played 10 for a good long while, but problem is my 09 dynasty is just starting to kick it into high gear. I decided to go back, sim up 5 games before the playoffs start and take it from there. I had to win 3 of my 5 to make the big dance and it was intense. I'm currently in the middle of some incredible playoff rounds BUT the point I want to make is about the feel of 09.
I remember hearing one of the developers say "once we went back to 09 we couldn't believe how arcadeish the passing felt". I didn't really understand because I never found it that arcadeish. 10's was obviously harder and more realistic, but wow the difference is incredible. I didn't realize how silly it is to make a backhand bullet pass 100 feet under pressure.
I'm loving my playoff, but cannot wait to get back at that demo.
The puck physics in 10 have to be the number one greatest improvement. No more shooting through people, pucks that seem to only move in straight lines, crazy random tips of the puck into your own net.
That has to be my favourite improvement so far. It just seems incredibly realistic.
I play only hardcore and I find the passing fine, I actually prefer it, and it only took me 2 games to get used to it.
The game better have the Flames vintage jersey in it now (not just the Atlanta one), especially since its been announced officially as our third jersey.

they've been great about third/retro jerseys so far, I'm sure they'll have it or will have it,
has anyone seen any info on player ratings? i recall last year some stuff was leaked out. i don't keep up on stuff as much as some people, so thought i would see if any of you guys had seen anything.

Reviews are coming out now. I just watched EA 2010 vs 2k10 on Reviews on the run.
They had good things to say about both games but agreed that EA was te fuller experience and the passing was good since it was not magnetic or perfect.
