Flames What does your username mean?

Just wondering how people decided on their CP usernames since there are so many interesting and weird names out there.

Ill start off.

My name EDBTZ means "my hand in my butt" in arabic and the 12 obviously stands for Jarome Iginla.

So you want Iggy's hand in your butt? Or your hand in Iggy's butt? Maybe this belongs in the confessional thread.

My username is simple. I'm obviously a corporate exec with Big Rock and all I do all day is drink and post on CP.

2 things:
1. I couldn't think of a witty nickname right away
2. I don't read instructions very well, and I thought I could always change my username to something else later

I used to wear a piece of green clothing every day in highschool. So some friends referred to me as Kermit.

I had to register a username on yahoo to play a game or something like that, so I tried something around Kermit.. I just came up with kermitology: the study of and adherence to the ways of Kermit the Frog.

It just stuck. I use it all over the internet. I think if you did a Google search for kermitology (and no, you didn't mean dermatology) 95% of it is me.

I think I got mine from NHL07. "Oh the Phaneuf train came coming" something like that.

I have never before, and never will, think of you as "Flames talker".

Crusader - There are lots of sports teams named Crusaders, but none are in major professional sports leagues. So it's easy to photoshop logos without aligning myself with a club I don't like.

Pi - I like pi. I find the concept neat.

Fun fact, the first original CrusaderPi avatar was a rip off of the WHA's Cleveland Crusaders.

I chose my name from a song by Our Lady Peace. It is about moving beyond the strict religious doctrine I grew up with... which was very difficult yet very defining for me. It meant a lot to me, and I guess thats why I chose it a few years ago as my screen name on the internet.

Ozy_Flame.

"Ozy" comes from the shortened name of Ozymandias, a poem by Percy Shelley (or, of course, of Watchmen fame, but this was long before that ever came out). "Flame" comes from lifelong dedication to the Calgary Flames.

Pretty simple!

According to legend, Gozer the Gozarian permitted humanity to select the form of the traveler that would destroy them.
Seemed pretty bad-ass.

Also, I wanted to use a Stay-Puft Marshmellow man avatar, but someone else had one.

Swayze was a nickname I was given because of my first name "Patrick" in football. 11 was my football number.

Mine is a caricature of the person I strive to be, and symbolic of the stance I have taken against my demons. Some (many?) will remember my old name, Snakeeye, which is a caricature of the person I left behind.

The 14 is, of course, a reference to Theo Fleury. Loosely related to my username choice, but mainly chosen because some jerk took the name "Resolute", made only three posts then ran off, never to be heard from again.

I used to have one of the longest usernames, but when personal life started to merge with internet life I wanted a new name. And I had just watched V for Vendetta, so I figured V would be good. I didn't realize until later that I was the only poster with a username under three letters.

My nicknames are all boring, and I thought this was a pretty interesting way to put it.

Because really, "Nat" or "Natty" is just boring, this is a little more fun.
