Wow, sounds like a new Back to the Future is on it's way.

Ronald Meyer and other key operating officials at Universal announced at this week’s Showest that they have currently sought a new team to re-develop a major staple franchise, Back to the Future, for a new generation of moviegoers.
“We believe that with the financial and development success of franchises like, Batman, Bond and now Star Trek, that it is the time to re-develop some of our fan heavy staples and Back to the Futureseemed like the best choice with its MTV appeal but also its fanbase,” says Meyer.
I know lots of people don't like Shia, but he plays a good "joe anybody" in my opinion. I can't say I'm impressed by the writers/directors. Time will tell I guess.
I don't know how credible that source is, but they sure have lots of quotes from Universal executives.

Oh hey, don't I look like a moron. x2
Even more so... I didn't read the entire article.

“I want to come up with a car concept that will really explode on-screen and give a whole new experience that a Delorean couldn’t do nowadays. I have been thinking of possibly a Hummer that reaches 44 miles per hour instead of 88, and it’s a hybrid one so that will comment on today’s “go green”message,” says Fedak

Wow, by completely random coincidence (that I am sure no one cares about) I was watching Back to The Future on some movie channel last night, and was surprised to see that it was directed by Zemeckis. I spent my whole life believing it was done by Spielberg. So I googled back to the Future and Spielberg and ran across that article too.
I can't wait to see what 4x has to say about this. Lol.
i will chime in...
That bag-o-###### Shia already fataed up a great franchise. there is no need for a fourth Back to the Future movie, there is no need for Shia LaBeouf to be in a movie, period.
i have a better idea...Shia LaBeouf should be in the The Godfather IV

Why oh why must Hollywood constantly remake things? BTTF is probably one of the greatest all-ages trilogies ever. I cringe at the thought of it being CGI'd, modernized and sexualized (yeah, I said that).
And that Shia Lebouf fellah could never play Marty. Maybe 1955 George.
And even though I'm not a Cubs fan, I still hope they win the World Series in 2015

I'll only watch this if Shia goes back in time, kills speilberg right after he makes 'saving private ryan', might as well get lucas before the star wars re-releases too. Shia then returns to his own time, and finds himself stuck in contract limbo with disney, slowly fading away into obscurity.
