Icarus says he has a following worldwide I just pray to god that he doesn't mention that he is Canadian at any of those shows.

Both are terribly unfunny and annoying but at least Peters (likely) writes his own material so he is slightly better for that. (although I am not sure that writing the crap that he does should be seen as a positive.)

I may be crazy but I'm pretty sure the topic is Dane Cook. My opinion on said topic is that he is an utter waste of skin and a detriment to society.

Not really the topic is letting people know that Dane Cook is coming to calgary for those who are interested. If you're not interested I see no reason to come in and post your distaste for the guy simply because you can.

So what's the difference between Dane Cook and Eklund? Back when there was "Skill" ratings, I got bad ones for going into Eklund threads and saying that they were a waste of time, and getting the explination "If you don't like the thread, stay out".

As for the Oilers reference, there's a difference between being on a Flames forum and bashing the Oilers, their natural rival, and going into a thread about Dane Cook, and saying Dane Cook sucks... There's a big difference. One is the common bond we have, and the other is trolling in my opinion.

I'm all for people having opinions, but going into a thread about someone coming to town, and out of 57 posts around a third are about the original topic, and the others are about how much that person sucks, or asking if someone else is coming to Calgary, or internet police crap... really?

Feel free to make, or bump one of the other "Dane Cook Sucks" threads. I don't know what's in them BEACAUSE I DON'T GO IN THEM. If the title doesn't interest me, I stay out now. I'm not trying to claim I'm an angel, but I'd personally rather read more information about his stop in Calgary than to read how I'm an imature 15 year old, ######bag, fan of a joke stealing, chicken bobbing loud talking, ######bag...

Explain to me how it makes any sense to have two Dane Cook threads on the go at the same time? This is a discussion board. Expect some opinions if you post a topic.

Everytime a thread is posted mentioning a former president coming to town (Bush, Clinton, etc.) it turns into a political thread with people voicing their opinions. That's the nature of a forum, and especially the off-topic area.

As far as being docked skill in the Eklund threads; I don't exactly know what you were docked skill for. I do know that there tends to be a higher standard held by the mods in the FOI forum. The mods definitely want more than a "<insert name> sucks" take, but they're generally okay with a "<insert name> sucks because...." followed by a reasonable explanation of why said person sucks.

Jeez, I didn't realize Dane Cook had so many internet BFFs.
